I find I need to replace mine about every 6 weeks or so. Of course DME is having a fit with me since they are replacing them without charge. The last time I called for a replacement they told me that if I keep having this "problem" they will have to notify the manufacturer. LOL!

My DME set me up with a bare bones machine. I whined and cried, then 5 days later I ordered the A-flex and paid for it out of pocket.

I love, love, love it! I do not think I would have had any success with the machine the DME provided.

I did the same. I love my aflex. DME wanted to charge $400 on top of the copays and deductible. It was so much less to buy it online.

Of course my insurance tells me that when I bought online that I am "out of network." So it would be applied to a $4000 deductible. LOL

I guess I will join in the wait.

In the meantime, I guess I should buy a card reader.

I, too, am a newbie. I have a question about the smart card. I purchased the Resperonics A-flex machine. It has a smart card. If I purchase a card reader, will that tell me anything? Or do I need to couple it with the software that is not available? I feel so dumb!
