Re: How to get a compliance letter when you don’t have a sleep doc??
The local sleep center actually turned out to be great - got my letter and a new prescription very easily. They were happy that I had my data, and happy with what the data showed, and were very easy to work with.

Re: How to get a compliance letter when you don’t have a sleep doc??
Thank you all for the suggestions! Last week I printed my Oscar report (100% for year incidentally) and visited a couple of urgent cares. They were ok with the data - but the first line of the form starts with “I have diagnosed (patient name) with obstructive sleep apnea.” They said they had not dia...

Re: How to get a compliance letter when you don’t have a sleep doc??
I don’t have one. The one I was using retired, and I have not had one for a while. The local urgent care is closer, faster, and same copay so I have not found a new one.

How to get a compliance letter when you don’t have a sleep doc??
Ok, so I’ve been using a cpap daily since September 2007, and the last official sleep related thing I’ve done is got a prescription update begrudgingly from the pcp I had then (about 2012). He wanted me to do a new sleep study then, and I said no. There no point in that when I was using an autos tha...

Re: Need some help with snoring
Yes, I'm thinking mouth breathing - but it just seems like that would be more apparent on the report. Should mouth breathing show up as a large leak? Also, if my wife said I was snoring all night why did it not really register that? I'm partially wondering if my S9 is not functioning right and causi...

Need some help with snoring
Hello - I'm a fairly long time cpap user (almost 12 years) that read everything on here and was really up on the subject - back in 2007. I'm afraid I've slept since then, though, and I've forgotten a lot! So it has gone fairly well all this time, and there have only been a couple of nights in that t...

Re: Switch from nasal mask to pillows = mouth leaking?
Nope - it appears that I am now going to have to figure out how to deal with mouth leaking after it never being an issue in 11 years. It’s happening more often, even when using the activa mask.

Switch from nasal mask to pillows = mouth leaking?
So, after 11 years of using an Activa nasal mask I decided to try the DreamWear nasal pillows. I really like this mask for many reasons, but I suddenly have a new problem - leaking through mouth. In 11 years this was never a problem, but now I am waking up with a completely dry mouth and throat. If ...

Re: 10 years and 30,000 hours
That sounds like me - I'm coming up on my 11 year anniversary in September. I did the first half of that time on an S8 elite, the second half on an S9 autoset. I'm guessing there have been less than 5 nights without it in that time, and they all were miserable! I don't check data that often, and the...

S9 invalid data card issue
Hello - I've searched some on this, but while getting many results I don't see my particular issue coming up. Last fall my S9 auto suddenly started showing the "invalid data card" error, and I simply pulled the card out. Now that I'm looking at an upcoming physical, and need my doc to write a new pr...

Re: Who is good at reading Spirometry results?
The lung age is generated automatically by the computer program that creates that report. It simply looks at the lung volumes it measured and matches them in the average charts to the age they are closest to. Since it drops as you age, it's going to spit out an older age for those with lower volumes...

Re: Who is good at reading Spirometry results?
Exactly why I was asking - that still has me concerned. That lung age thing is meant to scare smokers into quitting, but I've never smoked a single thing, ever. I did grow up with a chain smoker dad, though. The weird thing was the way the nurses at the imaging center acted when I got there. They as...

Re: Who is good at reading Spirometry results?
Well, the CT came back as normal. I do not know what all was looked at, only that the nurse called and said normal. So, that's definitely good news, but still leaves some questions...
