Re: Where to sell a CPAP
Apparently you haven't lost someone in their sleep. My husband's sister did not have life threatening conditions that we were aware of. She went to bed one night and died in her sleep. She was only 50 years old. An autospy was performed and no conditions were found so it was listed as "natural cause...

Re: Where to sell a CPAP
I would encourage you to tell us why you were unable to use the machine. If you prescribed a machine chances are very, very good there was a reason. Two nights is not a good indicator if you are able to get adjusted to the machine. For many of us, it may take several weeks. I would add a new post an...

Re: OT - Bipolar Disorder
My son was diagnosed at the age of 3 with ADHD. He literally could not sit still. His diagnosis came after I referred him to our local Children's Therapy Center. The watched for several days through a one way mirror and his interaction with the preschool and his environment. At the time, the psychol...

Re: For Sale: ResMed S8 Escape w/HumidAire 3i - $400
I recently purchased an M series Apap with A-flex from craigslist for $80.00. Granted it didn't have a humidifier, but it is fully data capable and is an apap so a much better machine than the one listed.

Re: Difference between CPAP, APAP and BiPAP
You indicate you don't know what your software is -- your machine only provides data compliance -- number of hours and days used. No real useful info is gained from the brick you have.
That is an older machine -- when are you due for an upgrade? Try to get a data capable machine.

Re: When To Throw in the Towel
The aerophagia should get better with some time. Ask your doctor if your apap could be set for a range of pressures. If so, it should help with both of your problems. If he doesn't agree there aways of finding out how to do it yourself with guidance from the forum.

Yea, I remember the person with the gif issue. I miss some of the ones like 6pt star unholstering his guns and putting them back, the dog's ears flapping, your slinky moving.
I am glad to see you back texan!

I, too, didn't qualify for a split study, as I didn't sleep enough. I was able to get in a week later for my titration study. I was disappointed I didn't have a split study, but in hind sight feel that by doing the titration a full night allows the tech more time to find the correct pressure if ther...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, Given a Respironics REMstar Plus C-Flex
Unfortunately the machine you were given gives no useful data, only hour many hours per day the machine has been used for compliance (many insurance companies want to know that the machine is being used). It is a straight cpap. It can be used for treatment but you and your doctor have no way of tell...

Re: Winx--a new alternative to CPAP?
It appears that one would still have an adjustment period -- having something foreign in our mouths at night without spitting it out. Having a vacuum suction in out mouths at night would take some getting used to I would think. The mouthpieces are individually suited to the user so I assume that the...
