weight loss by CPAP
I was just reading jqp's thread on testostorone. Somebody had replied how OSA causes all sorts of problems and chemical imbalances. I'm going to spin off that. I remembered my doctor said that OSA causes high levels of cortazone which is known to cause one to gain weight. He also said that with trea...

I've read that ACV helps Gerd because ACV is essentially acid. Often gerd is a result of low acid levels in our belly. ACV helped me! I can testify that ACV works as good as Prilosec. But, I couldn't handle the taste. I will barf if I smell ACV! I could hardly handle the pill version with it's subtl...

My sleep study analysis did show that my apneas were much worse on my back. The Doc also said that apnea is worse when one is on his back. The backpack is a good idea. I'll keep this thread updated with what the doctor tells me and how my surgery and pre surgery ordeal goes. Another thing i'm worrie...

Otosclerosis
This is kind of an "out there" issue. I have Otosclerosis and will be going in to do corrective surgery in a couple of months. I did my first ear about 4 years ago. And now I am doing my other ear. After corrective surgery, you have to be careful about putting any pressure on your ear. I.e., you can...

What's the deal with software?
I'm on my 5th night. My sleep center or DME never mentioned anything about software. It wasn't offered as part of what was needed. What is it for and why would one want it?

I'm not napping!!!
I say don't nap. You'll probably sleep better at night. The sleep debt may be paid off faster if you nap, because you body will probably want to sleep as much as possible; but, if you wait until it's time to sleep, you will get into proper sleep pattern faster. Moreover, I've heard that waking yours...

equipment
I've updated my profile so that the equipment I use is visable. As for an update, everything is still great. I haven't had problems yet, except for the mark on my forhead in the morning. The thing I hate is the fact that I can't chat with my wife before we fall asleep. I say goodnight, but then ther...

1st Night NO problems
Last night was my first night using my CPAP and I had absolutely NO problems. My mask fit perfect--not too tight and no leaks! The mask never came off nor did I experience any discomfort. When I woke up, I felt totally refreshed. My mouth wasn't dry at all. My level was a "14" and my humidity on thr...
