Re: POLL: Top problems in U.S. in diagnosis & treatment of OSA
I'm going to add my own category, "the ridiculous bureaucratic wasteful system which modern medicine in the U.S. has become."

Re: The sleep center technician lied
Hey kteague, I was just wondering if you could show me what you were talking about ''horrible stuff being passed off as titrations''. Were you talking about pressures being changed seemingly unnecessarily, too quickly, slowly, not enough sleep time, etc... I'm interested to see what the general cons...

Re: A sleep lab of a different flavor.
Looks really comfortable. The inside of the building looks like Premier Lofts at 2200 market or 2101 right down the street. Is that where this is located?

On that same note, Rooster, sir, In sleep review I think it was William Dement actually echoed that same thought. I dont have the article handy, but I'm sure it's not too hard to find.

Re: Market for Sleep Labs Will Shrink
Can't come soon enough! Huge need. Wish we had oximeters that were smaller, communicated with our xPAPs, stored the data and then showed the O2 %s along with the events. These proposed devices should also communicate with our xPAPs or at the least should have software that allows users to read and ...

Re: Kaiser in Denver Questions????
I cant be of a lot of help as we can't deal with Kaiser on any level, however, if you're close to my office I may be able to let you come by and try out some masks or give you some information. PM me if you feel this could help you.

Re: On the half life of the RRT at cpaptalk.com
If you're in the medical field, specifically sleep you have to have incredibly thick skin to exist here. A year or so ago, a certain percentage of this board ganged up on me with the group/pack mentality of ''one person hates you, so everyone should.'' Even the admins got involved. I still see the v...

Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
I found a couple threads on here where patients had experience, but it appeared to be billing error related. Either way, reviews thus far have not been as favorable as I would have liked.

Re: Ambien vs. otc meds
Anti histamines like most OTC sleep aids suppress both SWS/N3 (whatever) and REM sleep. You're basically not conscious but you're not really resting. They also have undesirable effects for the next morning for a lot of folks such as grogginess. They can also unexpectedly completely stop working.

I certainly hope that the above indicates MrGrumpy(Fred) has lost his Delete privileges!!!! I have lived chatted several times w/SuperJet and he has been a tremendous help as well as at times a great source of humor. He is a valuable source from the sleep medicine community and the time he spends i...

Re: Opinions on Nationwide Medical.
I haven't posted in a year, and was asking a legitimate question regarding how patients feel they've been treated by a DME model which operates differently than the norm. I do like to look back and laugh at that thread though.
