Re: Issue With Filters Coming Off

Julie,

Interesting idea. I do have a cat. But I have never seen him interested in my CPAP or going on my night table at night. I am worried that there is something wrong with the CPAP, but there is no strange sounds. I guess I will try the rubber band or tape ideas.

Re: Mold in water chamber...what the heck?

I have two tanks as well as two tubings. I wash the one I use every week with all my other items, mask, tubing and sponge filter. I wash them in baby shampoo. I have the tank and tubing dry for the week while I use the other set. I only use distilled water and empty it every morning. I leave the tank...

Re: Issue With Filters Coming Off

I am using the new filters without a tab. Yes, I have done a search and from 2012, I see that I am not alone with this. Won't putting a rubber band restrict the airflow?

Thanks!

Re: Is there a mouth-only mask?

I had tried nasal pillow mask only and it caused a sore nose and nose bleeds. I have been using the Mirage Liberty mask ever since. It doesn't really bother your nose as you can use your mouth for majority of therapy. I love that mask. No need to cover your nose as the nasal pillows do that. Super c...

Issue With Filters Coming Off

I have a Respironics System One CPAP. Every morning when I wake up both the fine filter and the black sponge filter are off and laying on my bedside table. Last night I woke up and sure enough they were off. I put them back in and checked a half hour later and they were off again. Is anyone else hav...

Really Need HELP!!!

Hello all, I am really having a problem. I am continuing to get severe nose bleeds. Per my sleep clinic doctor, I have switched masks from an OptiLife to the Liberty Mirage where I can open my mouth and take the pressure off my nose. I have upped the humifier to the limit on what I can tolerate and ...

Question about air pressure and changing masks

I was using an OptiLife mask but kept getting nose bleeds. I tried increasing the humidifier but still got nose bleeds. So, my sleep doctor said I should change masks as my nose can't handle all the pressure from the the nasel pillows. So, tonight I will try my new mask, a Mirage Liberty. I had my t...

Thank You All For the Advice

Thanks all for the advice. I have bought my extension cord and have a surge protection power cord. I think for my peace of mind, I will put it back in the bag and put the hose away.

CPAP and Hotels

All, I know there have been lots of posts on CPAP and traveling. I will be traveling and I am concerned about leaving the CPAP out on the night stand in the hotel while I am gone. Do all of you disconnect it and put it up each morning before you leave for the day? Is it OK to leave it out? Have any ...

Replacing the nasal pillows?

I have the OptiLife mask and was wondering how frequently should the nasal pillows be replaced?

Thanks for the Link

Sleepngo, Thanks so much for the link for fitting the mask. Turns out I have been wearing this mask all wrong. I am a newbie and the instruction book was not that clear to me. The visuals really made the difference. I think I will take a nap later just to try it out with a proper fit. You guys are t...

White Filters

I have some questions concerning the extra white filters for the RemStar Pro MSeries. Are they really necessary? A friend of mine said they are only needed for certain types of allergies but he did not say which ones. I am not even sure if I have it put in correctly as my DME had to deliver a new ma...

How do you interpret Leak numbers?

Hello all, Newbie here. I have a RemStar Pro MSeries. On the display it shows "System Leak" and gives a 7 day and 30 day average in L/min units. How do you interpret the number? When is it significant? How do I know that I am not having too big a leak from the nasal pillows from the OptLife mask? I ...
