nearly 2 weeks on cpap & frustrated with mask!
Hi folks, I'm due back to the sleep centre this monday after a 2 week trail with a REMstar auto cpap machine. I thought after 3 days with hardly any sleep and getting used to the sensation wearing a mask I was finally getting somewhere but the last 3 days have been really bad with hardly any sleep. ...

comfortgel mask giving me some problems?
Hi, i'm just over 1 week into my cpap trial using the REMstar auto with a comfortgel mask. The first few nites I found it really hard to sleep as I guess it takes time getting used to sleeping with a mask blowing air up your nose. Anyway by about the 3rd and 4th night i felt I was getting more used ...

Filter cap taken off on REMstar auto?
I'm on my 2nd night of a 2 week trial with the REMstar auto. I was wakened last night by the high pressure and leakage from my mask(comfort gel). Thnx again guys and gals for your help. I did have 2 sleep studys but no pressure titration. I believe the machine minimum is set to 4 and maximum 20 as last night I was wakened by a mask leak and the pressure was 20. Also I've been pretty stupid as I realised that the filter cap was still on at the...

When I exhale my throat closes, is Cpap right for me?
Hi folks, I picked up my cpap machine yesterday for a 2 week trial. I have just had my first night with it and I dont feel what I hoped I would but I do understand this treatment takes a lot of tweaking. I firstly woke up after 4 hrs because I could either hear or feel the pressure, it was at 12.5 w...

questions when i pick up cpap tomorrow?
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea on thurs and I was told by the doc at sleep clinic that he recommended surgery(throat stapling was mentioned) or cpap treatment. I have opted for cpap as I want something to try as soon as I can to see if it helps. I would just like to pool your experience for anythi...
