New PB420E Whining Sound and How to get it repaired
After about 9 months, my PB 420E just developed a loud whining sound. I changed masks and tubing but it didn't go away. I took it off the humidifier and it still does it. I sounds like the motor is having a problem so I guess I will have to send it back to PB through Optioncare. Has anyone had this ...

What happens if you don't use your APAP for a whole week?
Before I got on my APAP therapy, I have gone to Alaska for a whole week of fishing during the summer where there isn't any electricity. What happens if you don't use your APAP for a whole week? Am I destined not to go on these fishing trips anymore?

Is lowering the number of runs necessary with a 420E?
My runs (FL) has been about 25/hr. I have IFL1 off and IFL2 on. I have increased my max pressure to 12 (based my sleep doctor's suggestion) and the min pressure to 6. I haven't seen any difference in my runs data. Does anyone know how to lower the number of runs? Or should I be worrying about it? Th...

Significance of Runs and Leaks in 420E data
I believe that I am doing well with my 420E. My AHI is under 5 and my acoustical vibration is below 12. But my runs is high at 28.7. What is the significance of runs? Do I need to lower it and how? My wife complains about my irregular breathing patterns during the night. Is this high runs what she i...

I have been using my new 420E for the last two days/nights. I used my Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask for the first night and got much higher numbers of every categories (Apneas, Apneas/CA, Hypopneas, Hypopneas (FL), and Acoustical Vib) except for Runs compared to the second day/night with my Swift. The...

Well, I was just surprised by looking at last night's data. I just got a new Medium Ultra Mirage FF Mask from my DME yesterday exchanging my large and the Medium loaner. Last night, I had one of the lowest nights ever. I had 3.4 AHI and 2.3 Acoustical Vibration (snoring) index even without an APAP. ...

Snork1, I don't think that there is a shortage of Activa's. My DME, Option Care in Everett, has them in stock. Although they maybe far, I haven't had much problems with Option Care. They allowed me to switch my Activa for a Ultra Mirage FF Mask within 30 days when I bought it. I just switched sizes ...

Why higher AHI for Ultra Mirage FF mask than Swift?
Is there any reason why I am getting much higher AHIs with Ultra Mirage FF mask than my Swift? Is it cause by the 420S reporting more leaks as Apneas and Hypopneas with the FF mask than the Swift?

I got a Medium Ultra Mirage FF mask demo from my DME and it seems to lessen the leaks and the noises. I still have higher AHI than my Swift but I will try another night with this demo and then I will ask to change to this size. Maybe when I get my 420E, I can work on lowering my AHI with this FF mas...

Ultra Mirage FF Mask Leak Fixes
I just had the worst night in the two months that I have been on CPAP. My new Ultra Mirage FF Mask started to leak in the middle of the night and kept me up after that trying to adjust it for leak. All of my number from my 420S and Silverlining was higher than it has ever been. I don't understand si...

Higher AHI for Different Masks
My Swift gave better AHI numbers than my Ultra Mirage FF Mask or the Activa that I had before. But the Swift's snoring numbers were higher. Do other folks have had the same experience that their AHI numbers are different for different masks?

I tried my new Ultra Mirage FF mask last night and the noise kept me up but when I went to see my new sleep doctor, I spoke to a RT for my DME who was working at the sleep clinic for the day. She listened to my mask and heard the noise so she replaced the air exhaust hole piece and it is now quieter...
