Hi LB,

The Remstar Auto does provide you with significant more data than just compliance information but all this data is written to the Respironics card. You will still need a card reader and Respironics Encore Pro software. There are large number of posts in this forum about both.

Hi LB,

I am glad that you found my story helpful. Since you are just starting this journey, be sure to get an xPAP that provides more than just compliance data, otherwise you won't be able to effectively monitor what occurs each night.

Good luck,

Bill

Hi Gerald, I am using the Vitabase software that came with the Oximeter. The Oximeter and software was bundled together for about $479. The software met all my monitoring needs though quite frankly I had no experience with Oximeters other than what we see in the hospital, up until a few weeks ago. B...

Hi, Thanks for your replies. I have been helped so much by the people on this forum and the information that they have provided, that I would really like to give back and help share at least my own personal experiences with others. The Oximeter I purchased was an SPO 7500 Pulse Oximeter that I purch...

APAP Success Story

I know this is long but I wanted to document my experience. For those just wanting a quick scan for information, you can read just the first and last paragraphs: I started using CPAP 5 weeks ago and I just had my best night ever. During the first 4 weeks, I had rather mixed results. I was still feel...

Hi Henry, I have the exact same CPAP and it's great. This CPAP collects a significant amount of data during the course of the night that you can review each morning. You will need a special card reader and the Encore Pro software but it's well worth getting. There are quite a few topics already abou...

Hi, Thanks for all the great feeback. I am currently using a full face mask. It leaks in the plastic joint leading to the hose and around the edges. It doesn't seem to be a good fit for my face. The DME has sent a new (full face) mask that I will be trying tonight. I agree that the next step is to g...

Hello

I have been lurking around this forum for a few weeks now trying to collect as much information as I can on sleep apnea. It wasn't until my sleep study that I began to realize just how much of an impact my sleep apnea was having on my general health. In the few weeks I am been visiting this site, I ...
