Re: How to erase an SD card for REMstar Auto
Thanks, Pugsy, but now I have another problem. I have a REMstar Auto M Series machine from 2007 and used Encore Pro 1.8 Release 2. I got a new Dell computer, and the software for Encore Pro will not install because it says SQL Express installer encountered an error. (Maybe it's because I have Encore...

Re: What does Medicare pay for cpap masks
I live in Illinois. Is there a web site that you look this up on? If so, could you give it to me.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: What does Medicare pay for cpap masks
That was not a typo. It was $1,556. I called Apria just now, and they said Medicare would allow $168.14; and I would have to pay 20% of that, which would be $33.63, which is less than buying it outright from cpap.com. I don't understand why they bill Medicare such high prices when they know they won...

What does Medicare pay for cpap masks
My husband got a new Breeze cpap mask with 3 nasal pillows from Apria, and the sheet says it cost $1,556. My husband has Medicare as primary insurance, and Cigna is his secondary. However, he has a new $300 deductible for Cigna which started 7/1/10 so I am concerned what we will have to pay. We coul...

Respironics Response Re Lost DATA
I was missing detailed data also a couple of times. Now I just erase the card every week, and I haven't had a problem with missing detailed data since.

new thread from I QUIT THREAD
Hi Guest, I understand your frustation. I was abandoned by both the sleep lab and the pulmonologist. When I complained to my DME that my eyes hurt so bad I couldn't wear my contacts, all she said was tie a knee-high around your head. She didn't suggest that I come in so she could help me. As I later...

I had bought a band that people wear over their ears in the winter, but it was too tight. I had also tried regular hair bands that girls wear, but they were catching on the velcro on the top of my headgear; and they were thin. I asked my husband to buy me a sweatband like runner's wear. He got one a...

MF Fitzpatrick, et al published an article in 2003 in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine in which they stated: "Self-adjustment of CPAP at home will provide equal or superior efficacy in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) as compared with in-laboratory titration." They stressed educa...

Oceanpearl, Are you saying if I don't have my machine checked out by my DME, I could have an insurance problem? What kind? I had to buy the machine and mask, $300 deductible plus 10%. I am getting real sick of these doctors and DME. If I have to jump through all their hoops and be controlled by them...

Does your MD allow you to change your machine?
Hi, After I had my sleep test and titration in July, I was prescribed an auto CPAP at 4-20. I was waking up more with the CPAP than before because the pressure was going very high, and I was having non-responsive events. I could not get an appointment with the doctor, and no one would talk to me so ...

Interpreting Encore Pro Data
I had sarcoidosis in 1998. I think it was caused by herbal remedies. The last time I saw my pulmonologist for it was in 2002, at which time he said he didn't need to see me any more. My breathing was fine, but there were still lesions on my lungs. I don't think it has bothered me. But for maybe the ...

See Your Doctor - HaHa
Thank you Wulfman. I'll give that a try. It might work out for the best that I can't see the doctor who wrote the report. The doctor I'm trying to see on August 24 has his own sleep lab in a neighboring town and deals with Sarcoidosis, which is what I had before. Also, I saw his name in an article a...

See Your Doctor - HaHa
Hi, I am posting a new thread because you probably wouldn't look at the one I posted earlier under Interpreting Encore Pro data. From your postings, you talked me into calling "my" doctor. I called the doctor whose name was on my sleep test report and from whom I received a letter saying they would ...

Goofproof, thank you for your response. My machine is set at 4-20 as prescribed by the doctor. I had no large leaks (0.0 minutes) any of the three nights. My average leaks this week were: 8/6/07 36.6 8/7/07 31.74 8/8/07 37.29 What should the leak rate be under? I really didn't feel any leaks until t...
