I just haven't been seeing benefits to the Pur Sleep....

I had so hoped to be able to say that it has been wonderful for me like all the others have said. But, I don't seem to get anything from it. It smells nice for about 3 minutes and then I don't smell it any more. I put lots of drops in a lot of different formulas (clean with peace, spice with clean,...

Trying to deconstruct the Aura....help!

I am trying to deconstruct my new Aura. I am trying to do as ozji suggests by just loosening the hose from the rigid plastic with my fingers, but it is not budging.....has anyone tried this lately? I am wondering if they've attached it more securely on the newer ones? I was hoping not to have to cut...

I've only had rainout one time so far, and it is probably because I turned my humidifier on too high.
But, I have ordered the Aura mask, and from what I've read, it is prone to rainout. Do you think I would need the heated hose?

where do I get a hose cover?

I don't want to buy the Aussie heated cover yet (too expensive), but I do want to cover my hose. Can you buy a cover, or do you make yours?

The sleep apnea index is what they give you after all your sleep study information is interpreted. I don't think it is the same as the numbers that are on the machine. I just checked my data for tonight (I know, I didn't sleep much!) and the numbers look very similiar to last night. Maybe I just won...

I have been on cpap for about 5 or 6 weeks. I have used it every night with the exception of one or two. I don't always keep it on all night though. They said my sleep apnea index was 4.8 during my sleep study (is that the same thing that my machine reads?) thank you for your response. I'll look bac...

Question on performing search on forum

When I perform a search on the forum for something, for example, "Hybrid" since I want to see what people think of it, it brings up posts that don't seem to have anything to do with the Hybrid. I am wondering if when a person lists their mask at the bottom of their posts (where you fill it in on you...

Help me to understand.....

As you all can see from most of my posts, no one has explained anything to me about sleep apnea, this machine, etc. (by that I mean, doctor, DME, etc.) so I am still a bit lost. What is the difference between apneas and hypoapneas? My readings from last night were: Leak .02 (yah! with the breeze, mo...

Use optilife straps with altered breeze?

Okay, a lab rat I am not! I do not feel confident about altering a mask, but I am desperate to get a good fit with the least amount of stuff on my face as possible. I read through the posts where Dreamstalker modified his breeze. I have an optilife by Respironics, does anyone have that, and do you t...

nasal mask sizing

Snoredog,
What should the vertical dimensions be for the nasal mask? I was thinking of ordering an x-small, but now I'm not sure. From where to where should I measure?

sizing guide on cpap.com?

Has anyone used the sizing tool on cpap.com? I did, and some of the masks that I wanted to try aren't listed as good for me. Do you find that it is accurate, and should I stick with only the ones it suggests?

Thank you for your responses. I would like to try the Aura, but it is so expensive! I asked my DME about it, (I think it was listed as the Twilight on cpap...I printed it out for her) She said she had never heard of it and didn't act like she wanted try to order it. I am also unsure of whether I cou...

List ONE all time favorite mask, and why....

I've been reading posts until I'm blue in the face about all the different masks. It is so confusing. I am wanting to try another mask, but I'll have to pay for it (insurance won't get another one for 2 months) and I'm not sure which one to try. Maybe everyone could list just one mask that is their ...
