Re: Aeiomed Headrest is dead

Been trying the TapPap for a little while now and the fit works well, but I've been getting morning headaches since then. I'm not _positive_ about the correlation though (i.e. whether the headaches came with the TapPap or moving from CPAP to BiPAP). I've tried to loosen the fit on the TapPap mouthpi...

I hadn't thought of the full face masks because I'm pretty sure I don't mouth-breathe at all, I frequently have a beard and it just looks like more equipment bulk to get in the way. Of course, I've been doing CPAP for nearly 10 years and haven't really felt fully rested in a LONG time, so changing s...

recommendations for masks with no forehead contact?

Hey... The dermatologist is about to do something to my forehead area (which is a bit, uh, taller than average ) that will end up making it tender for a while, so my favorite Headrest nasal pillow style mask isn't going to work. Neither will my other nasal mask (whose name escapes me a the moment). ...

Hmmm...that's the thing...if you flip from side to side, it seems that you really want the hose going up and over the headboard. I usually have my machine on the floor (or nightstand) and the hose draped behind the headboard and coming down from there. The only problem is that when I change position...

But as a start of a new week the AHI=22.1 and L/min=30.4, but I don't know if those numbers are skewed because of the problem I had with the machine. I totally expected the leaks to be higher because the darn mask kept waking me up with leaks in the eyes and whistles... I totally don't think it wan...

I would say something, but you need a prescription to hear it and I'm probably not authorized to dispense the words anyways, so nevermind...

I bought the 420E in May 2007, for several reasons:... Me too - the software seems to be readily available, but the other reason is that I wanted something to travel and/or go camping with. From what I read, the PB420x draws less current than a lot of others, so it should last longer on battery pow...

Heh...I imagine that's a standard gag...my wife had a good time with "your brain scan came back negative" when I had an MRI not too long ago.

FLs are series of shallow breaths. A certain number of breaths below a certain percentage of airflow. I don't have the manual handy, but it gives the exact numbers in there. What's "good" depends on how you feel. Well...I've been having problems (over the past few years, in hindsight) with various ...

I was just wondering...are there any decent references one could use to understand what the software says? For example, with my PB 420E & Silverlining software, I see things labeled like this (under the "last 96 hours record"): Number Index/h Apneas: 13 0.1 Apneas w/Cardiac oscill: 29 0.3 Hypopneas:...

I thought that already WAS the policy (for a while now) and I've had the same experience as Doug...so I've already been in the habit of doing that (including at SeaTac).

I was just looking for a new machine, primarily so I could take it camping and run off of battery backup in case of power failures (last winter's 3 day outage here was no fun). My old machine is a PB Goodknight 418 which has a 24VDC power input. I decided that a 420 series machine would be a good fi...

Re: Regarding Masks

What mask works for one may be a nightmare for another. Yeah, I know...keep hoping that someone else has had a similar enough experience to have some suggestions that will magically fix everything . While I can satisfactorily use the Breeze and CL2, the last few weeks I've been using the TwilightNP...
