Lisa, Have you been on the same med for your reflux for ten years?? If so, some newer drugs work a lot better. Most of the time nowadays they put you on proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec or Nexium. I take Protonix and it works wonderfully! Also did the doctors tell you not to eat at least 3 hours...

I'm back!!!!!! I have been soooo sick with some unknown illness, vasculitis of both legs, low grade temp, nausea and more nausea, severe pulsating headache, and weight loss of 6 pounds in 8 days! (which I need!) Ozji: Thanks for your comments. I realize very well that it means nothing that an RT/DME...

Well everyone, this is SO discouraging! I just talked to the RT at the DME. No surprise, he was no help. I mentioned the chest paint/soreness which has to be from the Autopap as it disappeared when I went back to the straight at 5 cm. He said he had never heard of that. I mentioned the possibility o...

Hi Lori, Yah, I can certainly relate to all you've been through. And you didn't bore me in the slightest! As you found out, there are EP's and there are EP's! Some guys I think want some practice and are too eager to get in there and play around. I do trust mine. What exactly was the arrhythmia that...

Lori! Well, let me just first say that I am an RN with oodles of experience. I already have heart disease....I have familial cardiomyopathy. I have already had a cardiac cath and I have perfect coronaries. I have had a failed internal defibrillator implant (don't ask), and a failed ablation. At pres...

SLI, Yep, the machine is a borrowed one from the DME who is going to read the data and send a report to the doctor. So, I agree that it would not be a smart thing to tamper with the settings on my own. I don't want them to discharge me for being noncompliant! They supply my O2 also! I think a better...

Sleepless, My auto is a Remstar auto with cflex (which I think is turned off). You can see some sort of doodad in a slot on the side. I really do appreciate your trying to help me! Now if I can only sleep well tonight.........I'm dreading it already. What do you think about the Activa with the strap...

Lori, There is software on the apap but remember it's on loan from the DME. Can I download it on my computer just as is? And if so, would the info still be on there when they take it back in 2weeks to download?? I do have the bottom straps pretty loose on the Activa. I can't really figure out the to...

Lori, Hi,and thanks for your responses! I was originally on a pressure of 5 cm. I am really a borderline case anyway but have heart and lung disease already so the doc wanted me to try the Cpap. The autopap won't directly help the PLMD, in my view anyway, any more than the straight Cpap will. The id...

Sleepless: I should've mentioned that I am already on MIrapex for the PLMD and RLS. I haven't had any RLS at all since the very first dose. It is a miracle. I have heard, like you, that many times the PLMD goes away on Cpap. One reason I got the autopap was to rule that out as a problem. If it turns...

Frequent awakening (long)
Help!! I am going bonkers! (or already have ) I've been on Cpap for about 2 months now. I have been using the Breeze and a straight Cpap set at 5 cm which they got from my titration study. I have not had much trouble with the Breeze on the straight Cpap. But I have been awakening very frequently tha...

Amy, I have no solutions, but just want to say that I feel exactly the same way today! I actually DID cry this afternoon. I started out really really well and now things seem to be going downhill rapidly. Nothing I did today was easy, it seems like it took twice as long as usual. My attitude has alw...
