The swiveling point of connection from the mask to the hose just started squeaking. It just bothers me as I move as I'm drifting off to sleep. Any ideas of something I could do to stop it? Wax? KY Jelly?

I had one really sore week - never got the gel and then the old nares toughened up and I don't need to use any "product." Hang in there, it will get better.

I too went for the heated hose and the only night I had rainout was when I inadvertently forgot to plug it in...it really is worth it.

I keep mine in the drawer. The only drawback is a little finagling to get my humidifier reservoir out to fill it. If we are having folks over I unplug everything and closer the drawer.

I use a nasal mask though not the one you mention. I had very sore nostrils for about a week and I use 15# on the cpap - avg less now that I have an apap. Other people rec ayr gel but I didn't need to use that. Now it doesn't bother me at all. Hope you adjust easily.

I second the don't get a new one until there is something wrong with an old one. I hate the new plastic smell personally and I don't want to contribute to all of the plastic waste (and the petroleum necessary to create new plastic).
