I have 3.11. Are there any advantages to the latest version? Can someone send me the link? Thanks.

windows 7 and rescan software

the download instructions do not mention windows 7 as a compatible software. Is this true and if so, what are the options?

Re: Choosing between two Cpap machines

I have had both. Respironics and Resmed. I am now using the resmed S8 autoset 2 and I love the machine. Perhaps the best part of the resmed machine is you can track your results without the software (daily statistics on the lcd (AHI, AI, HI, leaks, 95% pressure). The respironics lcd display is a wee...

Re: Weekly Mask Cleaning---OverKill ???

I empty my humidifier tank every day and allow it and the hose to dry via the resmed cool down cycle (quite effective in drying). There is a lot of air to water contact that the water is likely well innoculated. By allowing the equipment to dry every day should minimize bio film and exposure to high...

Re: when you get a cold

I have a nose only mask. I have only been too sick to wear it once, and even then I took a decongestant *I know, bad Jaylee- I am on BP medicine* and was able to put it on 4 hours later. I normally just neti pot and I am okay then. I am a teacher so I have the perma cold some years. Little kids are...

what are your numbers looking like at the various pressures your are experimenting with? Do you know how to look at your daily results?

Re: Ramp (Settle) or not? Need to Relax!

Is the 'ramp' or 'settle' pressure adjustable separate from the low pressure setting? In this case my low setting is 10cm and thats what the 'settle' pressure is showing. If using apap, the ramp/settle is the Minimum--your low pressure setting. Your apap waits until your settle period is over, then...

Re: Day 3 with CPAP and having a problem

You may want to see if you can get a different machine that has dtailed data capability. With a pressure of 16, you probably could get good benefit with a auto (I recommend the resmed S8 autoset II). By virtue of posting here, you are sufficiently involved and motivated to get good therapy. You need...

Re: Ramp (Settle) or not? Need to Relax!

try watching the tv with the mask on or reading a book. The idea would be to acclimate to it while not trying to fall asleep. I would also continue to use the ramp (from 7 or 8 cm) until you feel you no longer need it. You may even want to drop your low pressure setting to 9 until you get used to it...

Re: Hose management:curious

I mounted a post above my headboard and I pass the hose through a scrunchy which is hung from the post. I adjust the length of the hose past the scrunchy so that the hose never lays on the bed but gives me enough slack for all of my sleeping positions. This method solved much of my variable leak iss...

Re: whistle noise and moisture coming out of mask

I'm in southern AZ, and my bedroom humidity is 26-30%, inside temp around/under 70, and outside last night was 25, but is usually 40. After reading this forum for many years, I believe there are many people who are using humidity settings that are too high. People from Georgia, Florida and Lousiana...

Re: CPAP during cold/flu

For me, when I am stuffed up, I can't even get the neilmed to flush through my nose without sending it up my eustachion tube. While this is a worst case scenario for me, I do have to take it easy with the neilmed to avoid that scenario. Even so, I am often not clear enough to breathe through my nose...
