Hello, I too have edema in the lower legs/ankles. It is disgusting, I never had it before and then I went on Lipitor/metaprolol/a water pill/plavix......it started almost immediately when I started these meds, and has not gone away with APAP use, even when I was told by my doctor that it is probably...

Wulfman, Thanks for the advice, I'll try setting my bottom pressure higher .....but I thought the reason you had APAP was so you didn't have to keep messing with your pressures?? But hey, I'll try it, I'm not one to follow all the rules anyway! I was feeling so good for a little while.... I was exer...

Does anyone feel their CPAP therapy stopped working for them
Hi all,
I have only been using APAP for about 2 months, I felt great the first month or so and now I seem to have slipped back into feeling tired all the time again....with little or no energy again. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jodie

GreenIce, I have only been on xPAP for 4 weeks, in that short amount of time I have been able to come OFF my BP meds. Granted I did not have extremely high blood pressure, it was about 156/94 but in the past 2 weeks it was dropping very low so they took me OFF my BP meds and it is staying at about 1...

I thought it was pretty good. I'm more of a grammar fanatic and I noticed that you are only single spacing after periods or ends of sentences. You should be double-spacing. Also, to start a sentence with And.... that's a huge boo boo. Other than those simple little things I think the others have cov...

Good Morning,
As far as I know, almost all masks are compatible with every machine, I don't believe an APAP requires a certain type of mask....different ones will be more comfy for YOU but I don't think the machine cares what type of mask you use....but I could be wrong....I'm a newbie too!

Update on the neck pain
Hello and Good Morning! Well I took all of your advice and put the hose over my head last night, I also stopped fighting with my mask and became it's boss, I had a higher leak rate .34 last night than I usually do (avg .16) but I slept soooo good, I'll work on the leakage tonight, I did notice the a...

Well I will take your advice, I am going to route the hose over my head tonight, and also try to find a better pillow. Something has to work soon because I feel like I got NO sleep last night, my whole body aches right now, and I am not feeling very positive about this anymore. I just want to sleep,...

Neck/back pain from mask/hose??
Hi all, Okay, I know, I ask too many stupid questions, but that's what you are all here for right? To help the newbie, and answer her questions even though you've probably answered them a million times already! I have had a very stiff left side of my back/shoulder/neck for about 4 days now....I was ...

Hi all and HAPPY FRIDAY!! Well it's going on a week for me and I would LOVE to see some data but I have NO idea how to get to any of the info that you all talk about on here like AHI and leak rate and yada yada...... I would love to see something other than the 4 things I know how to look at which i...

I have a Mirage Activa nasal mask, and I'm a side sleeper, and I have only had this mask 5 days, but I don't have a problem with it when I'm sleeping. I go from right to left to right to left, and I think it actually seals better than when I'm on my back! Maybe you could try one of the Activa masks ...

using the heat with humidifier cured me!
Hello, Most of you seasoned hoseheads probably already know this trick but I have only been a hosehead for 4 nights and the 2-3 nights I woke up with ear/sore throat/dry mouth.....so I read other people's posts that had that problem and they said all they did was turn the heat on the humidifier, jus...
