Topic: OT: Any musicians here?

I am a professional church musician. I play the organ (my degrees are in organ performance), sing and teach voice and I also do the recital thing.

Being on cpap has returned me to full functionality. I am thankful for it every day.

An encouragement to new folks: one year on cpap

As I approach my 47th birthday, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the fact that I have been one year on cpap. I realize that, for some on this forum, one year is not momentous, for they have been "on the hose" much longer. For me, this past year represents a significant departure from all my p...

Adjustment on the Quattro is a little tricky,at least for me. Too tight and it leaks. Too loose and the same thing.

Also, as someone else mentioned, teflon tape around the connector from the mask solve leaks there.

I happen to love my Quattro.

Good luck,

I have the energy to live my life. Which is way too full, but cannot do anything about it right now.

Without cpap, could not do it.

Also, nice to know Im putting off death for a long while (according to my doc).

Ditto to degloriopus' comments except:

I do use the padacheek nose bridge pad and it does help me.

I have been a Quattro use for seven months and i love it. A few nights ago, I tried using my Swift nasal mask. Just couldn't do it. Got up and put the Quattro back on.

My .02.

I wear a quattro at night. Had a bloody nose after a week. Padacheeks fashioned me a bridge cover. No more sore bridge.

Karen has got the best solution I know of.

I do not normally post to these threads, but here goes. My doc said that if I did not go on cpap, I could be dead in 5 to 7 years from stroke or other catastrophic event. Plus, I was being treated for depression. Thus, given that information, I took the attitude that cpap WOULD work for me. It does....

Facing in. One curl of the C I rest my face in. The long part runs down my back. The lower part of the C I either put between my legs or rest my feet on. I am short (5'7) and it runs the length of me. I am a side sleeper. My blessed spouse reports that am very still now and I don't even get up to go...
