Ummmm...perhaps you need to go back over the posts Snoredog. First of all, I never even addressed EPR in my posts other to say that I don't use that feature because I use my machine in Auto mode at all times. All I said was that when I decided to go with the S8 my biggest concern was that it DID NOT...

Snoredog, I value your advice and knowledge but you are wrong on many points. For one thing, Rested Gal and several others on this forum PM'd me to tell me how to manipulate the settings. I changed the pressure, the C-Flex was ON. I'm a registered nurse and have been for most of my adult life. I wor...

j.a.taylor, I've used both manufacturers' autopaps: Respironics REMstar Auto with C-flex ResMed's S8 Vantage with EPR I got good treatment from both. Two reasons I personally prefer using the Respironics machine: 1. C-flex (Respironics' exhalation relief feature) can be used in Auto mode as well as...

Pur sleep oils for trade?
Hi all!! I am so enjoying my new Vantage S8!! I have been 100% compliant since I got it about a month ago and things are going great! I bought the six oil starter set from SleepGuy. After trying all of them out, I sleep best using Clear and Peace. I have full bottles of: Creme, Spice, Deep and Fresh...

My experience and a heartfelt thank you (very long)
Since there is a constant flow of newbies here (myself being one of them) I wanted to share my experience with CPAP so far. I found this forum before I ever had my titration study. I browsed the message boards, the lightbulb and the red ball with the question mark. I asked questions and got some GRE...

Hi! I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but I'm a nurse in a stepdown ICU. We get many patients to our unit specifically for bipap therapy. Our patients come in many different shapes and sizes. The only mask we have is a Fisher and Paykel FF mask. I don't see the exact headgear on the cpap....

Hi Carol. Hang in there, my first couple of weeks were miserable and I was so disappointed because I'm a nurse and I know what this is doing to my body. I now have a greater understanding and compassion for my patients who are non-compliant with their therapy and it helps me in educating them and ad...

My vantage is very quiet although I did build a special 2-level box for it. The bottom level is open and my alarm clock, cell phone and a drink are in there and the upper half is enclosed and my machine and pur-sleep are in there. I can send pics if you want. Might help if you enclose the machine as...

Although I wasn't accepted into SleepGuy's last trial offer, the reviews were so great that I decided I would buy some anyway. I am SOOO glad that I decided to!! The Pur-Sleep system has helped me tremendously and I will never go back to sleeping without it! It is well worth the money if you don't g...

I had an "M" series CPAP for one week. The humidifier stopped working after 2 days. I contacted DME numerous times without a callback. Finally went and turned in all equipment and switched DME providers. One of the reasons I went with the ResMed was because of the bad humidifier in the Respironics t...

I got my Pur-Sleep the same day as I got my new ResMed s8 Vantage. I have to tell you that I will never sleep on APAP again without my Pur-Sleep. I love all of the oils, but the clear is definitely my favorite. I didn't think I would like it, but I love it! I usually do a drop of clear with whatever...

I only tried the liberty for one, miserable night and then got the Opus nasal pillows. I think when they are fitting you they a)don't have any pressure going in at all, or b) have it set at a very low pressure. The liberty was fine in the beginning of the night when my pressures are low, but about 2...
