Thanks and Update

Hi All, And Bdp522 thanks so much that was exactly what I was looking for. The MD want's more sleep tests, and the labs are unpleasant. As far as the update he gave me klonopin (sp?) and told me, be careful because you've developed a sleep debt. Get this, I go to bed at 7pm Thursday. I woke up 10 am...

I'm in

I've been researching this thing to death since "I got the bit in my teeth" and I"ve been 175# and 120/80 on bp. Ever since I quit smoking and the ensuing 16 weeks (and counting) I've put up 15# and when I went to the Joslin clinic (diabetes) I blew a 169/102. Hence all of my frustration. The Pulomn...

Still looking

Thanks for the input, But this was literally a piece that went below your nose just over your mouth, kind of like a butterfly (minimal wires, etc.). I've searched this site, google, yahoo.....nothin. It's a very small piece w/o wires and boxes and I saw it on the 1st or 2nd time I found the web site...

Too many hours

Hi All, I've emailed a couple of veterans on a unit that does the equivalent of a sleep study at home. I remember clicking on a link and gave me all the data. I've searched through all the postings, but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. My pulmonary MD said he wanted more data (because...

Still pulling for you

Hi Sharon, I've been away for a few days. Hope your doing better. As an aside I call the idiot MD back that left me a message on my cell phone. Early June when I called, I couldn't get to see him until August 5th. Now all of a sudden there's an opening Thursday at 9 am. Must have looked at the resul...

Thanks to all

I want to thank all of you for your advice and suggestions. I will be following up with all of the MD's come Monday and am prepared to fire with both barrels. Actually I felt my father channel right through me "Are you out of your F*%#ing mind?." As I said, I don't have a medical degree, but that li...

Sleep study - profanities soon to follow!!!!

Hello All, Did a sleep study a week ago thursday night. The sleep tech said that it took about a week to get the resluts. Call the lab on Friday. Lady says the MD will call me back. About 4:30 (after the switchboard is closed) I get a message "We've reviewed your results, but they're inconclusive be...

$0.02

Hi,

Just my two cents, but my daughter used to work in a pharmacy, and I think it may vary from state to state, but I would believe it would be the cost accounting side on the part of the insurance co.

With you

Hi Sharon, I figured you went through my rant so I'd return the favor. I figure by the time I see the pulmonology MD, I should be at least as knowledgeable as he is with everyone's insight. At this point I can't offer any advice, but I'll keep you in my prayers and know that I'm behind you (only not...

Thanks

To All, Thanks again for the welcome. I think aside from the frustration, symptomatically, I've pretty much been operating as a textbook case of sleep deprivation. I've never had a "steel trap" for a memory, now I can't even remember what I did last night. Not to mention the strung out feeling. Asid...

Diagnosis Questions

Hi All, After wandering the web for more than a few weeks, I finally came across your site. Lots of information. That being said, I've been on a 15 week mission to get my doctors attention. Smoked for 25 years, took chantix, quit in 4 weeks. Two weeks after that, just felt lousy. Then after about 4 ...
