How do changes to EPR / C-Flex settings affect blood carbon dioxide levels?
(I did a search but did not see any discussion on this. Appreciate the link if this has been covered previously.)

I "slept" about 10 hours the night of the study, and was not taking anything else. So it was "more" sleep than the usual 8 hrs that my doc limited me to. I also walked outside in the bright sunshine for about an hour before the last two naps. Only taking Clonazepam during the week of the study. I ha...

I'm willing to give it a try, but it looks like a last resort to me.

Re: Maybe It Ain't Alpha
Hi, I have an appt with the doc next week, so I don't know what will be recommended. As an aside, benzodiazepines can generate some extra stuff in the EEG (it's usually a little quicker than alpha, like beta, spindling, or sigma waves, different people call it different things). I wonder if that's w...

Alpha intrusions
where the heck did they come from? I don't know. I don't think that I have the conditions that they are associated with (fibro, severe pain, chronic fatigue), unless I am possibly in the early stages of development. Spontaneous arousal index: ~ 30. Awakenings 60; index ~ 10 Sleep efficiency: 57.9% ...

Please consider posting a request for the Charlie Rose to do a show about sleep apnea. It is very easy to post comments. It is not necessary to subscribe. There's power in numbers and maybe the message will get through. Here is a link to the show and where to post a comment: http://www.charlierose.c...

Dr. Oz's comments about Sleep Apnea
Hi All, FYI, it was posted on the forum at SleepApnea.org that Dr. Oz made some brief comments about sleep apnea on both the Oprah and the Charlie Rose TV shows. Basically he said that the best way to treat sleep apnea is to lose weight, and that if one lost 5% of their weight, then the sleep apnea ...

Update, continuing to go downhill, and venting (sorry)
You are pretty much in the same ballpark as the new doc. The new doc spent about 1 hour with me reviewing my case, seemed very knowledgeable, and knew about topics that most docs may not be up-to-date about such as CBT, fibromyalgia, etc. Regarding the OSAHS and PAP treatment, with the PAP, my Stage...

Re: It's A Beautiful Morning!
Hello SAG, I hope you are still out there? Where are the other 3's? The 3's were scored on #s: 2, 6, 7, 12, 13, 23, & 24. Put both studies side-by-side. Yeah, I can see that the only improvement was that there was Stage 3 sleep with the PAP. But by most other parameters I am the same or worse. it's ...

Re: Greetings To...Wherever
Hello SAG, Thanks for working while at the water's edge. Score any 3's anywhere? Yes. I scored seven "3's". But, for example on #2 'I am slow to awaken mornings'.... what else would I score but a 3? I am toast everyday. And addressing insomnia will therefore give you the biggest bang for your buck. ...

Post of Sleep Studies
SAG, Hope you enjoyed your day(s) at the beach. Following are the complete report from the 1st sleep study (7pgs) and the summary report (2 pgs) from the titration study. It looks to me like I have difficulty maintaining Stage 1 & 2 sleep. BTW, my result on the HAS was 47, and note probably an incre...
