Re: Depression?
Hello all! I'm new here. Started my CPAP therapy on May 16, 2015, so about 9 days ago. I've been doing really well with being compliant, and I've been sleeping good. The first morning I woke up with so much energy, it was almost scary. However, as last week moved along, I noticed that, while I was ...

Re: Need advice for flying and carrying CPAP machine
I have flown all over the world with my CPAP machine without a problem. I don't carry a prescription, and I don't use a Medical Tag on the machine. I have never had a problem with it. Security precautions vary, and I have had all sorts of different tests performed on it, but I've never had a problem...

Re: Mirage Quattro Problems
Thanks for all the tips!!! I printed off the measurement tool from Resmed and found that I need a small mask instead of a medium. So I went to the VA today and they gave me a small mask. I also got a gel like thing for the bridge of my nose. Yeah, I was going to suggest something to protect the bri...

Re: cpap use in Italy will extension cord work?
I will be in Italy at the end of the month and I know my apap will work on European current, but I plan on bringing an extension cord in case the wall socket is far from the bed. Would an extension cord from the US between the apap and the wall socket work? You could use a plug converter at the end...

Re: How to save your Data
Thanks Andy... I am thinking of replacing my old PC at home.. but dreading going to win8 so I am dragging my feet. Good to know you had good experience with it and it sounds like you had NO headaches. Hi Bill, Well, this is really more of an endorsement of Carbonite than of Windows 8. I'm actually ...

How to save your Data
Hi Guys, Just wanted to post a quick note for those who care about data and are not computer whizzes. I have been using Carbonite to back up my PC. Recently, my PC's Hard Disk started having very serious errors, and I wasn't sure if I could trust anything that was on there, so I couldn't do the ordi...

Re: Rant about spelling!
I love this! I didn't know about "artefact", and I'm a pretty serious speller. My personal pet peeve is the "complimentary" oil change. I always mutter "So it's an oil change that says nice things about you?" (It should be "complementary")

Re: FitBit -- worth it?
Andy, Just wanted to get back with you on my little experiment last night. I put the S+ into sleep monitor mode with my Mini iPad tablet and then I powered off the tablet so I wouldn't have to keep it running all night with it charging (battery) and connected via Bluetooth to the S+. It went the wa...

Re: FitBit -- worth it?
Andy, I have been quite impressed with the ResMed S+ and its accuracy, seems to be pretty good at sussing out your sleep stages and its been a good reference for me to compare my sleep stages/duration to others in my age group or norm. The CPAP won't interfere with it as long as the S+ is closer to...

I love this. BTW, my machine seems to have it, but I don't care because pushing the button doesn't seem hugely challenging to me.Sludge wrote:See, a guy wouldn't do that-- he'd just keep mashing buttons till something happened.Thatgirl wrote:But I had to find out about it myself reading the manual...

Re: How often should I change my mask?
Well, if you've got "the one" that works for you, then I'd recommend having a spare or two handy. Thank you, everyone, for chiming in. I guess that confirms what I thought, that other than the "soft" components, the masks don't need to be replaced. I do like Den's point about keeping a spare. The l...

How often should I change my mask?
Hi Guys, Simple, dumb question here. About every 6 to 10 months, I get new mask cushions. About every 12 months or so, I get new headgear, because the elastic seems to loose it's elasticity. As far as I understand it, these are the elements of my mask that need renewing regularly. Is there any point...

Re: Wife is going to leave me I keep falling asleep
So I went to the sleep doctor today and explained my problem. He took a look at my stats and said all was well, and that I should not be falling asleep as much at this point. He gave me a trial of Nuvigil to try. I took it around 8 a.m. As of 2:15 p.m. I haven't fell asleep. I have a bit of a heada...

Re: Wife is going to leave me I keep falling asleep
It is indeed in APAP mode even though sleepyhead shows otherwise. I will turn the max pressure up to 15 tonight. I will try to post stats this evening when I'm at home. If I can't tonight, I definitely will be able to do so tomorrow evening. One further thought. You have a nasal pillow mask, which ...
