Re: Moving from Pr Sys 1 to Airsense 10

Set the new machine to auto 7-12. Saw pressure avg of 9.5. Moved it to 8-12, pressures still just below 10. Funny because sleep study said I should be set at 7. I like the machine better than my old PR sys 1. AHI is still down around .02.

Re: Moving from Pr Sys 1 to Airsense 10

It is auto capable. Otherwise, I wouldn't have switched. Seeing how this entire process has unfolded, wouldn't surprise me if they made a mistake give me this model though.

Re: Moving from Pr Sys 1 to Airsense 10

Thanks. Am wondering if I should switch over to auto 7-12 and watch to see how it is working out. Hate to think after all these years one uncomfortable night sleep study will/can be used to change my numbers around.

Moving from Pr Sys 1 to Airsense 10

I have been using my PR System One now for years with great results. It is set Cflex 1, Auto 8-12. My pressures have been Auto Mean 8.2, Peak 9.1, and 90% 9.0. AHI 0.6. Having the VA provide my machine so went through new sleep study. They are provide AirSense 10. They have the pressure set at CPAP ...

Re: Tri-care and on-line providers

I recently fired Optigen. I used them for years until recently out of the blue they said no more waiving my copay portion without an extensive form being filled out. I thought it was a quid pro quo - they charged higher prices to Tricare and in doing so, would waive the copay. Will, since they don't...

New PR 1

Just received my new PR1 with heated hose. I really like the heated hose bit.

I used the same settings from my old M-series (Auto, 8-12, no Flex) on this machine but found myself waking like I had no breath at all during a nap. Not a good sign.

Does anyone use the Opti-Start feature? Thanks.

Re: Round White Bacteria Filters

The filters are before my humidifier. They start turning grey within 2 weeks. I thought perhaps that was abnormal, but apparently not.

Round White Bacteria Filters

I bought some of those filters. I am amazed on how quick they get dirty. I live in what I consider a really clean home. Wood floors, dusted mopped, etc. all the time. No indoor pets. Real good filters on the house air system. Windows kept shut. I wish I had been using these all along. Interesting th...

Re: Thanks to all Now it's decision S8 Auto or PR ONE

Prescribed pressure is 12. Bruce I'm not a doctor and this is just my non-medical opinion. If I were prescribed a pressure of 12, and I got a ResMed autopap, and I used it in auto mode, I'd set the pressure range this way, depending on what degree of "full time" EPR I set it for: EPR off min pressu...

Re: Backup power question

I use this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E6LEI2 unit. I tested it one night. It ran my machine and humidifier. I put one in my office too. I tend to like it better than the computer store models.

Re: SPO 7500 pulse oximeter for $350

Interesting, if you go to the main website and then click on the SPO 7500 is shows the $409 price, but the link in the OP still shows the $350 price, and that is what I was charged at the checkout. Must be some special discount. Will post again once it arrives and I have a chance to use it. Where i...

Dry Eyes

About six months ago, started noticing real dry eyes at night. It is definitely from reverse air flow through my tear ducts as I only use nasal pillows. I can almost feel the air squirting out of the ducts. Around the same time, I was actively rinsing my sinuses out nightly before bed with a big blu...
