its not to stabilize the nosepieces, they are just plain too big now and rub badly all around the nostils, cause great redness and sores.. and these are the smalls.. they need xsmall..

I have lost 81 lbs, still more to go, but all of a sudden my hybrid *the only mask i have ever liked* has all of a sudden started leaving terrible red areas which are very sore around both nostrils.. i mean REALLY sore.. I went to my DME who is very nice, and she said my nostrils are too skinny lol....

and yes the card has been in the machine and was fine last week with months of data on it.. have a new mask and need to see the leak rate before i tell my dme if i want to keep it or not.. thanks

is the cushion factor any better on the quattro? Did you wear the same size in both, i would asssume yes, but you never know..
