Re: Respironics Bi Pap Auto w/bi flex. (5-button) Error code 48
Did she carry her equipment on the plane or check it with the baggage? We always carry our machines onto the plane. Sent Ian an email on July 15th, no response yet. I have the bipap back in my possession and have taken it apart. Unfortunately the part number on the PCA in the machine does not match...

Re: Respironics Bi Pap Auto w/bi flex. (5-button) Error code 48
The most common cause of failure in the older machines, esp when traveling when people forget to empty their water chamber. You might be able to find another bipap for her (at a reasonable price) in the GA Craigslist. If we knew what part of Ga we might be able to help. Thanks. She doesn't use the ...

Contact Accurate Biomed Services for an estimate. They should be able to turn the repair around while she is still on travel. Contact Ian McCollough ian@acbio.com for help. Most likely first contact will be Monday. I'll edit this post with an 800 number in a minute or two. OK I'm back. (800) 376-56...

Respironics Bi Pap Auto w/bi flex. (5-button) Error code 48
Respironics Bi Pap Auto w/bi flex. (5 button). This is an older unit. Not M-series. Not PR System One. Looks like the one in this link. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/bipap-auto-biflex.html My wife flew from Seattle to GA yesterday (Sunday) for a two week business trip. When she went to turn on he...

Re: Bipap needs new plug
Would that be this plug you are needing? For the Legacy series (pre M series bipap)? https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respironics-ac-power-supply-cord-for-bipap-plus-pro2-auto.html This place repairs machines...maybe they know of a place to get one that doesn't cost so much. http://www.acbio.com/ Y...

Bipap needs new plug
Hello, A relative uses a Respironics bipap auto with bi-flex, last design in this series, 5 button. We realize the machine is old and that insurance will partially pay for a new machine every X years, but we want this one fixed to keep as a backup. The plug on the end of the 24vdc switching power su...

Submitting claims directly to insurance company?
My wife and I are both long time bipap users and have Aetna insurance. For the longest time we had the greatest sleep doctor, but three or four years ago he retired and the doctor who purchased the practice is not nearly as user friendly. Quite frankly, I don't like the new guy at all but am unwilli...

New headgear and nasal pillows that best match this old gear
Howdy folks, I've been using bipap since about 1996 or so and have been using the custom headgear from cpap man along with the pipe fitting, swivels and such that you see pictured below. I've also done the air re-direct mod to this set up. I've worn out at least two sets of this headgear and it is t...

The problem I was having with both the loaner legacy auto bipap, and to a lesser degree my new m-series is the inspiratory cycle would shutdo...

I go by the idea, Smaller, Lighter, Cheaper = Weaker. In general, I agree with this, that certainly seems to be the trend with consumer goods these days as the manufacturers pull cost out the products, oftentimes at the expense of quality. I will say that my wifes 2 year old respironics auto-bipap ...

Did the sleep study the night before last. Went a little less than two hours without a machine. The tech was a little confused that the doc had called for a split study since I have been on bipap for 10 years. He was even more confused when I told him that the doc had already written the prescriptio...

The Remstar Auto Bipap will not run on 12vdc. You need to buy a special cord from Cpap.con to run it on DC That's why I went to the M-Series auto Bipap, so I can use it in my Motor Home. Yes, same here. This is the reason for going with the M-series. I wanted the most efficient 12v model and the 12...
