Gerd and apnea
I just read some stuff and I fit the profile. Acid reflux, air diverted to the gut from c pap . I have fornd if i sleep on my couch with the cpap it seems to work ok. I suspect that by my limiting my body to staying on its side i keep the soft tissue from totally plugging my wind pipe, I sure wish I...

flatulence
Now that I have a full face mask and have titrated up to 11 (which seems to be the right pressure) I have a real problem with air in the gut . Unless I take a sleep aide of some type I'm back to waking up exhausted. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Advice on FF mask
I'm ready to quit and go back to lumpy teeshirt therapy. Before I do I'd like to try a FF mask. I have a relatively thin face and a slight goatee. Also my Ins. Co only covers 1 mask per 6 months so I'll have to pay for it. Any suggestions as to a good mask to try would be helpful. My only experience...

Thanks for all the replies...Proving that I'm sleep deprived I used the word RAMP when I meant TITRATE. On my own I've increased from 8 to 8.5 to 9 last night. Just wondered if there are any problems if the pressure is set too high . I'd suspect more leaks but none yet. My insurance only covers this...

Exhausted Discouraged : To Ramp or not to Ramp
I thought I was making some progress but this morning I woke up with the old dull brain ache that's afflicted me for years. I don't remember a lot but I know I haven't had a restful night. I can't function without caffeine and I have no joy in anything, like night of the living dead all day. With ad...

I'm used to the nasal piloows and do not want to start over with a ff mask. The tape is not a pleasent thought either as it kep...

the best advice is to work with a variable pressure machine but as with me insurance won't pay so I took a baseball size whiffle ball and twisted it into a tight tee shirt between the shoulder blades. It's just uncomfortable enough that i've learned how to raise up in my sleep and change sides. Also...

CPAP, Whiffle Balls, Tape, and Existentialism, Surgery Maybe
I have mild apnea and have struggled for years with poor sleep and all that entails. Before my sleep studies i had started using a whiffle ball tied to a tee shirt between my shoulder blades and found that my sleeping self did not at all appreciate rolling on his back and so he seemed to sleep bette...
