Yes. The ideal is to have a flat line with a value close to your documented leak rate for your mask at your Rx pressure. A little fluctuation is OK and actually the norm. It is the large fluctuations and/or values that are way off your designed mask leak rate that you need to address. In my case, i...

I did. I figured maybe I leaked once in a while. I just did a bad job of putting all the pieces together.

You are probably leaking out your mouth. Try a chin strap or make one for a night (stockings or panty-hose will do just fine) and see what your numbers look like.

If you are disappointed in your cpap therapy please read

You may very well be leaking from your mouth! Please read on - I am not a mouth breather and I would never have exptected this... I have been on CPAP for 6 months now. I am 100% compliant down to the day. Like many people here in the forum, my second sleep study (first with the mask) was the best ni...

Thanks for the story LeeLee. That is fantastic and amazing.

I am more like Panhandler. Wouldn't give it up for anything. My success so far is that I don't feel like I need another 6 hours of sleep when the alarm wakes me up. In fact. some days I wake up before the alarm!

Small steps.

Post Success Stories

I was thinking this am: We are all here to help each other and especially those having a hard time. We don't often tell success stories. Would anyone be willing to share their success story re: OSA, CSA, CPAP etc? I think that if some of those who struggle can see the light that will appear at the e...

I got it to work!! I would think XP would work the same as follows: Click on run (or windows-key R) and type services.msc. Scroll down to Smart Card. Right click it. Click properties and where it says start-up type, make it automatic. Reboot (or click "start" and reboot on normal schedule) Your read...

Actually Vista is pretty good. I've always sprung for the newest gadget and gizmo - just my "thing".

If you like multi-media and editing your videos and things like that, Vista is tremendous.

It is still buggy, but I like it.

I am having the same problem in Vista. And actually, once I delete the driver and re-install, I have 5 shots. I have 5 USB ports and I can plug it into each one once - it gets re-recognized as new hardware in each one. After 5, I have to uninstall again.

It is very weird.

Has anyone else had troubles with the card reader and Vista? I have drivers all installed and downloaded the data once. Now the light turns green and then red after about 30 seconds and the data can't be read. Any thoughts?

I used to have that "gob of snot" too....I was always trying to swallow it down. I now realize it was my swollen uvula from snoring and apnea. Before Cpap I never realized this wasn't normal, but since I started treatment 2 months ago, I have not had that "gob" feeling. Now, if only I could get rid ...

Day 2 on it and last night was GREAT! I had an extremely good night's sleep. Usually have aerophaglia, but last night, nothing!!! It was nice to have a comfortable morning. AHI average for 2 nights is 2.7. Breathing is extremely easy - feels just like normal breathing. One word - if you use the Acti...

I'm a newbie and don't even have my A-flex machine yet (Monday hopefully). However, during titration it took me so long to fall asleep and get used to the masks (I tried many) that I swallowed a lot of air. The tech told me that if I use the ramp feature, then I will be less likely to swallow air. ...
