Some folks store their water for humidifier in a pitcher because the spout spills less than the jug from the store.

Yes, I've been experiencing the grogginess upon wakening that you have, atruvirgo. But the way I look at it, it's a great bargain for being totally awake the rest of the day. Maybe there's a Compressed Grogginess Factor we can blame it on. I'm only two months in, though. Any oldtimers out there have...

These masks are so sturdy that I wouldn't think that buying used would make much difference. I bet they're a polycarbonate. I'm trying to figure out the sound. Where is it coming from? Vent? Elbow? Perimeter of cushion where it meets the mask? Blubbery farting of the cushion where it meets the face?...

If it leaks on you, then try the 432 model. The addition of the foam cushion gives the silicone cushion some support which stops leaks and makes the mask comfier. It also makes the fit slightly smaller. So if it's leaking because you're an inbetween size it'll help a lot. For reference, I'm between ...

Fountain of Youth... sorta
Almost two months of cpap under my belt now. A friend said I'm absolutely glowing these days. He thought I must surely be in love. I'm no Sleeping Beauty, but apparently this cpap brand of beauty sleep really works!!! Just one more reason YA GOTTA LOVE IT... or persist until you do!!! On the practic...

A strange realization
For years I've fought the idea of going to sleep. I'd stay up as long as possible until I had no other choice than to go to bed. Sometimes I was so tired I fell asleep sitting up... yet still had to convince myself to go to bed. Many is the time that I'd close one eye at the computer for as long as ...

The first month I slept 1-1/2 hours twice a day. I spent lots more time in bed tossing and turning, cursing and sighing, trying to make a mask work that didn't fit right. This month it's been two sessions of 3 hours each back to back. No cursing or sighing, just rolling over or a simple mask adjustm...

I'm a side sleeper of more than 90 degrees. (I sleep more on my left eye than my left ear.) ComfortGel is squishy enough to have some give. And the masks themselves are way less bulky than many I've tried. Respironics forehead pads are thinner and more curved so they don't raise your head off the pi...

A bedtime story to put you to sleep tonite
Once Upon a Time... ...there was a little Tinky who wanted to go to the ball and dance in her dreams. She got all dressed up, put on her best tiara, and headed out the door. At the palace, she put on some nice glass slippers to complete the ensemble. No matter how long I dance at the ball in Cinder...
