Re: new Snore Alarm device?

Well, since no one else here seems to have tried it, I figured I'd be the guinea pig. But now it seems to be out of stock! Yes, some of the items on that web site are clearly bogus, particularly the Nopal powder to control glucose and cholesterol. However, it appears that Giant is simply a facilitat...

new Snore Alarm device?

Does anyone have experience with this? http://www.giantbiosensor.com/Stop-Snoring-Apnea.html I've been trying to find such a device for quite a while, but in the past all I've found are DIY instructions. This would be great if it works. I'm probably going to try it if I don't get any negative feedba...

Re: Provent therapy.com

air flow would be difficult to assess since the nasal passages are blocked while wearing Provent (no room for a cannula) Provent does offer a a nasal cannula that's compatible with their device. (See the PDF link at the bottom of the page, or search for "cannula" on the page.) I don't claim to know...

Re: "Red Neck Room Humidifier"

Put a bowl under the towel -- something elongated, like a small trough -- and the towel should take up just enough to continue the evaporation and you don't have to wring out the excess. Yes, there are parts of the Atacama Desert where rain has not been recorded in the hundreds of years that humans ...

Re: Vista compatible recording pulse oximeters

I'm using my SPO PulseOx 7500 and Vitabase vers 1.40 on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit with no problems. Wow, bizarre. Thanks. I don't know how many times I tried it a month ago, with total failure. Just now I tried again, and it worked. I was wrong, so thanks for posting that! Now I have to think a...

Re: Vista compatible recording pulse oximeters

I know I'm replying to an old thread, but I didn't see any answer about the SPO Medical PulseOx 7500 and 64-bit Vista. This came to a head for me a month ago, along with a new laptop running 64-bit Vista. I had a long ... discussion ... with the folks at SPO. They really didn't want to call me back....

Thanks for the followups. I think the discussion has helped clarify the very real differences which may make different choices appropriate for different people. As for cost of batteries -- the battery for the 7500 is a lot more expensive per battery, but it looks like each battery is going to last e...

Nodzky, Thanks for the extensive review! I thought I'd add a few comments about the SPO Medical PulseOx 7500, which I've been using for about five months. (I'm currently trying to adjust my positional therapy, which is much more effective for me than for the average apneic. Unfortunately, so far I'm...

So have I gone blind or just lost my mind? I find a reference in the help files for Viatscore that "in the menu's [sic] you can ... export selected raw or analyzed channels". Which sounds great, but I'll be darned if I can find it in the program! Earlier I had looked to see if the database files wer...

I did talk with Eric today about 1) the limited number of events on the DeSat report, and 2) the "patient ID does not match" problem. For the report limit, he says that it's standard practice in this area to just report the first 32 events. He didn't defend it, just said it's standard, and of course...

Thanks! I'm glad to hear the problem isn't persistent. My gamble paid off -- I was able to retrieve data for last night, so I've already come out even for giving up on Friday night's data and with any luck I'll get Sunday night also. I saw the pictures of the new finger boot, but the one I received ...

Well, I see it's been a few months since you posted this, but no one else responded. I just got a SPO Medical PulseOx 7500 a couple of days ago. Paid the full $499 from Pro Therapy Supplies, but their proximity to my home meant that the free ground shipping got it to me overnight. Turner, DH, and ot...
