The system is outta whack! That's what happens when you have a healthcare system based on profit . I don't really want to go there so I will not ... But something is wrong if: a widget costs $1.00 ... me (my insurance company) gets a bill for $4.00 for same widget ... me (my insurance company) pays...

Re: Regarding the CPAP.com vs CPAPPlus.com Upgrade Kits
Howdy, Others sell the cap, clip and pillow sleeve for $25. The trouble is that some of these kits contain no exhalation vent. This is a necessary component for a safe and proper upgrade. Our kit makes a Swift into a Swift II. The $25 swift kit does not. I thought the new kit had holes in the frame...

[quote="Anonymous"] Comparing CPAP.com or many other online suppliers to B&M DME prices (atleast the one I work for) is like comparing apples and oranges. Please explain this further. I do not understand. The company you work for operates no differently than the rest of capitalist society. If the ow...

I have an odd question....I am sorry if it seems dumb. I have had my machine just over a month. My insurance purchased after 30 days....so it is now mine, no rental. If my doc decides I need an apap or bipap and prescribes a new machine do I give them back the other one? And would the insurance cov...

I feel with my DME already like I have with my car dealership in the past. Great folks until you walk off the lot with the car. WHen you return, you had better not ask questions unless you have your wallet ready as well ... Let me state: 1) All businesses must make money and I am in no way denying m...

I spent a lot of time researching and preparing my speech for my doctor. Called to see when I could see him. They asked why, I told them I needed a different machine. They asked which one. I told them. They said come by and pic up the prescrip! DANG! Well, I think I am going to do the same for the s...

I spoke with Respironics customer service yesterday w/ a few questions. One was concerning software. The lady told me it really was never supposed to be released to the public. I asked her why 1.6 was still available and other manufacturers had it available for their machine and she could not answer...

DME Pulling My Leg? I Feel Mistreated!
This forum is teaching me a lot but I got a ways to go so bear with me ... I have not learned of a lot of these numbers 'yall throw around but my pressure is set at 15 out of 20, and I ain't no rocket scientist but that seems kinda high. Why was an exhalation relief machine not given to me in the fi...

gasp, Thanks for the reply! Is v1.6 software still available? I am checking w/ my doctor to see if I need the machine upgrade and if it will be beneficial. My pressure is set at 15 so I think I would benefit from some exhalation relief, whether throught the C or A-flex. let me also add that I am wil...

I VOTE YES (I entered in the poll at the top). My DME doesn't have a card reader and they have been surprised at my request to do self monitoring. They act as if I am the only person on the planet who wants to do this (this forum convinces me otherwise). They said maybe I could mail the card to anot...

Stopped Snoring ... now my spouse can't sleep?!?
One of the many reasons I married my wife 4 years ago was she never has been bothered by my snoring and has always commented it HELPED her sleep (believe that one?!). My best/worst story is waking up someone on the other side of a concrete block wall before so my snoring is/was kinda loud. Now w/ th...
