Re: SleepyHead 0.8.8 "Almost Beta" Release

I just started BIPAP last night after being on CPAP for about 4 years. Hoping this makes me feel better. I immediately searched out software since the ResMed S9 VPAP came with a SD card and turned to Sleepyhead. Want to log some more time before I try it, but I did download it from git and compiled ...

Frustrations from the last few nights...

Been a week on my Mirage Liberty and a have a few frustrations NOT all about the mask. Some are frustrations I have had before. I seem to be between sizes on the pillows. I tried the medium pillows and my wife made the comment she thought I snored PLUS they would leak somewhat. Actually, even the la...

Diet soda? They could have at least explained what they mean by that. Here's a link regarding diet soda and obesity: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/06/13/health/webmd/main701408.shtml In my own experience, I've found that I gain weight faster when I drink diet pop and lose it faster when I giv...

Short First Night Review on the Liberty

I'll post a more detailed experience later, but as I stated, the clips are the weak point. It's difficult to get them to stay, but once I got it, they held all night. Sleep experience was a little rough as it is a different mask, however I have to say it definitely works MUCH better for me. I feel 1...

Liberty and clips...

I just got my Liberty and this will be my first night. Has anyone else noticed that the clips are a little difficult to get to stay some times? I gently bent the clip out a bit so it was wider and that seems to help. Anyone else have any isses with those clips??

Getting a ResMed Liberty

I visited my doctor today and while my survey(improving from a 6 to a 4) got better and my BP is lower (118/78 ), I still don't feel that much improved from where I was without CPAP. My OSA is mild with only 11 per hour during my study. I DO generally feel better, but am not sure if it's from CPAP o...

ICK!

I was getting ready for bed tonight and unlike most days, I did not empty my humidifier. M y unit is integrated into the machine. I took i tout preparing to dump it and clean it and i noticed a fly had got himself STUCK in the resevoir! I took the hose off and it was sitting where it usually does ne...

Name, Address and Cell Phone number is what I would put on mine. NEVER carry your SSN in your wallet or on your CPAP! If you DO leave it, then the SSN may be more valuable to the thief then the CPAP. Re: Torn Hose

 Get a small bottle of liquid bandage and with the applicator brush put several coats on the torn part. It will work for you. That would not have worked....the tear went right along one of the coils right along the spiral....it was like you took the end of the hosed and bent it completely ove...

Duct tape it. The hose I'm using right now is fixed with duct tape and works just fine. I sure would not miss treatment over a hose with a tear in it that is easily repairable. That's the thing....I COULD repair it, but then I would have likely had a rough time grtting it off and on the machine. Th...

BCBS will cover a standard hose every 30 days.....though a heated one is a different story. Your DME will have a pretty good idea of what your insurance will cover. In my case, the standard hose would be a heated one. I COULD use a non heated one, but then I would definitley have rainout issues as ...
