Respironics Integrated Humidifier
This discussion got me thinking, so I placed a call to Respironics to inquire about the materials used in the M-Series integrated humidifier. Neither the user manual, nor the website, nor my DME could tell me what the tank was made of. Interestingly, neither could the tech support rep at Respironics...

It was me
Sorry, folks, I was the "Guest" who made the last post. For some odd reason, my posts do not always show that it's me, even when logged in.
Incidentally, the hard plastic parts are polycarbonate.

Feeling tired
sybert1ger, I, too, expected to feel better after starting cpap therapy nearly a year ago. I was doing everything right and my numbers were great, yet I kept feeling more and more run down. I blamed my tiredness on waking up several times a night for no apparent reason. Reading this forum convinced ...

cpaptalk.com in 50 words or less
I think the previous suggestions are great. Here's a combination of the key ideas offered so far: cpap.com is an online resource for the support and education of cpap users. By sharing needs, information, and experience, its members build a community and learn how to optimize cpap therapy for effect...

These things do take time
Brandon, It's good that you are eager to begin your therapy, but like many good things in life, it does take time and patience. Unlike some treatments for urgent care, there are clinical reviews and business processes that delay xpap therapy. After interpreting the data from your titration, your doc...

Reference to OSA
Bert, I read the article, too, and found that the link to OSA was a stretch. You may have stopped reading by the time it appeared obscurely near the end of the article... About 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 5, court papers charge, Myra Morton fatally shot Jereleigh Morton, 47, twice in the head - once in his le...

DSPS
I'm the member who posted that I was diagnosed with DSPS, or Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome, sometimes called "night owl syndrome." My "body clock" is a few hours later than most people's, and has been all my life. DSPS is sometimes called a sleep "disorder," but that label is somewhat subjective, lik...

You're getting closer to a solution
mckooi, I came to this forum in search of information about sleep apnea and CPAP therapy. I found it, but the unexpected consequences were alarming and quite upsetting. For example, I learned that: - My primary doctor is ignorant about sleep disorders. - The sleep lab I was sent to is a sham. - The ...

Anticavity Fluoride Treatments
When I told my dentist that I was on CPAP therapy, he gave me a prescription for anticavity fluoride toothpaste and samples of anticavity rinse. I use the toothpaste at bedtime and have had no dental problems at all.

Throats and cats and yeast
James, I read your story, too, and although I am saddened by your misery and moved by your determination, what struck me most was how similar your story is to mine. For starters, I have the same narrow airway, long uvula, and redundant palate issues that you do. And I’ve experienced the same daytime...

For what it's worth, I agree with Kathy about knowing yourself, your comfort zone, and acting accordingly. However, I also agree with the others about checking out this new opportunity. I recall an earlier thread that addressed your problem and the connection between the nose and the eyes. You might find it helpful to read the entire thread:

Cognitive Impairment in Older Women
BrnEyez... GrizzlyBear is referring to an article in today's cpap talk banner. It was interesting to me, as cognitive impairment has affected two of my female relatives with OSA, as well as my dad. My grandmother died before sleep apnea was widely recognized, but I suspect she had it because she was...
