BrianT and I crossed in our responses .

First night I used my index finger and I could feel the pressure. Switched to pinky and had no problem.

It's a light weight, rubber, oversized thimble that slips on easy. After a few minutes, I don't even notice it. For five nights now, it hasn't fallen off even with hand under pillow. Probably mostly due to the wrist part that carries all the weight.

Got My PulseOx - Now What?

OK, got my PulseOx (SPO 7500) and recorded several nights. I am now trying to interpret the data. Also trying to correlate the pulse and DeSats with the events charted in Encore Pro. I feel like a newbie all over again when I was trying to understand Encore Pro . Has anybody found some good websites...

I received my unit on Wed like the others. Trying to type this without my pinky finger . I never did call them. I thank Ron and other warriors for fighting the battle. Indeed, it was gracious for them to offer the "wrong" price for the first four callers. There was no reason to do this except to say...

Ron,

Check your e-mail receipt. When I ordered mine on Jan 9th, the website showed/adverstised the F model. My receipt says the H model though.

i voted NO...i wash my face before bed, i clean my mask each night with cpap wipes, and once a week (or so...) i soak it all in mild dishsoap and rinse Speaking of meaning the opposite ... you meant YES? I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that...

GumbyCT,

I like to collect people's pithy signatures. To your point, it reminded me of sharon1965's: If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got …

And to you and Sharon: Behind every successful man is a surprised woman.

Better metric than AHI?

It seems to me, AHI is not the best metric to monitor. Hypopnea's are given the same weight as Obstructive Apnea's. Yet, OA's are far worse. IMHO, the AHI should be a weighted average of OAI and HI. In addition, the number of episodes per hour isn't as important as how long you spent in all the epis...

I clean my Activa mask every morning. While waiting for the water to heat up for a shower (old house), I squirt a few drops of Liquid Neutrogena (good cleaner, fragrance free) and rub around for about 10 secs. Rinse and hear the squeaky clean . With the Activa mask at least, it's real easy to snap o...

Encore Pro & PC Card Reader

I have been using a USB reader for a while now, but want something easier to travel with. Anybody use a PC Card based Smart Card reader with Encore Pro? The new 1.8 version allows selection of one in the "Preferences/System Settings" menu. It certainly didn't work the built-in SC reader in my Dell L...

Thx so much Rip. I meant to do this too as proof later, but brain farted after I ordered. Indeed the page shows the H model as my receipt. But the description is for the F model which is what I saw "advertised" and want. Although if could be a "he said, she said" arguement with Med1, the screen shot...

Some comments on my trial of the new AirCandy. First, none of them were overly or sickenly sweet. Smelling from bottle you might think so, but on the pad they mellow out. Second, I didn't get hunger pains trying to fall asleep . The scents I requested in approximate order of preference: - Black Cher...

I too like milkman and others in this thread purchased the steal at $250. And as we susepcted, it truly was a steal given they advertised the wrong unit for the price. I ordered around Jan 9 and Med1 charged my card. Got my "nose hair" scissors, but no SPO. I e-mailed them last week (no response, bi...

Thx all for the feedback. Sounds like 0 for 3 with this pillow.

I am going to give the SleePAP pillow from cpap.com a try instead.
