The question now is comfort. How are you dealing with a constant pressure? In order to improve the quality of your sleep any more you may need to increase pressure up to 12cm as suggested. My last machine was a plain CPAP, I logged 12k hours on it at 11 and then 12. So I don't think its a big issue...

An interesting future experiment (after you find out whether straight 13 or straight 14 knocks the snores practically out of the box and are pressures you can go to sleep with ok) would be to go back to APAP mode for a few nights...just to see what happens. APAP mode with the minimum pressure set a...

I switched the settings to 12 CPAP (which was what was prescribed) and got the below. Seems to slightly increase apneas (though its hard to tell since the numbers are still pretty close) but it does seem to really cut down on the Acoustical Vib/Runs. Actually looking at the detailed data seems like ...

Guine Pig Paul reporting for duty. Last night I did CPAP at 10 and tightened up the mask just a little bit more. Seems like it does record the same info as before. I did seem to wake up a 3-4 times during the night, but other then that nothing really to report. The pink line seems to be solid so are...

OK Once again thanks. So it seems like the snoring is my big problem? Is this something I can control either by mouth taping or a full face mask? As far as pressure I actually found 12 more comfortable then 10, 10 almost feel claustrophobic, go figure. I don't think over the last few days my nose is...

Hi All, Another set of results. http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/1294/synthesisfb6.th.png http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/9417/detailedfr8.th.png Still seems like an awful lot of runs? I think the leaks max line looks a bit smoother, but its somewhat hard to tell. Snoredog/rested gal what's next?

My wife says I only snore when I lay on my back, though maybe that's the only time I snore loudly. I actually have a chin strap from when I first got my setup (4-5 years back), I just don't think I've ever been able to sleep with it on, hence the mouth taping seems to be a more comfortable short ter...

Wow you guys are making me feel like an Apnea freak case. I'm going to try the settings that snoredog suggested with my current mask (its an Acclaim 2 I'll try to adjust it a little bit) and see what happens. Assuming that doesn't totally fix the problems I'll try mouth taping and/or the ConfortGel ...

Rested gal, thanks for the suggestion. My last tritrated CPAP rate was 12, I don't mind setting it at 12-12-12 in apap mode but is that any different then 12 in CPAP mode? Also given the leak rate does it indicate that I am not mouth breathing (or at least not significantly)? Is this possibly a hard...

Individual Insurance post Apnea diagnosis
Hi All, What do folks here do for individual insurance after getting a diagnosis of sleep apnea? Right now I and the rest of my family are on a really high HSA plan (I think 7.5k deductible/year) and our premiums are still really high. Not to mention they exclude anything sleep apnea related. The la...

Here's the corrected detailed report for last night http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/7044/detailedhf2.th.png So if I understand things correctly I have a relatively few number of events spread out through-out the night, but a lot of snoring and Runs? What exactly are Runs and should I be concerned...
