Encore Software in Wondows 8.1
I know many others have posted; and it seems there is software available to read the M-series smart card data. Can anyone provide a link to the software? I have Encore Pro 1.8 and as others have noted, it does not work in Win 8. Tried a virtual machine but do not have WinXP, and my old Win7 install ...

Boston Area Sleep Clinic Closed?
For those in the Boston Area, did you hear that SleepHealth Centers abruptly closed yesterday? I have avoided dealing with them for the past year or so (except for supplies), but I am looking for a new provider in the area. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Try the resmed swift fx. I've been using this for a couple of years now and love it. Barely notice it some nights.

Re: How to determine acceptable Leak rate?
Here is a post for ResMed Pressure vs Flow Rates. http://www.resmed.com/assets/documents/service_support/pressure_flow_rates/1012648_pressure-vs-flow_usa_eng.pdf Wes This is nice! I found the graph for just the Swift LT that came with the literature, but this one has all of the masks. Will post a g...

Re: How to determine acceptable Leak rate?
The Encore Pro software does give me leak rate data over the course of the night - I know that when I look at the daily max leak rate with the encore pro analyzer software that the leak rate varies from day to day, but not sure what that means. Would "peaks and valleys" or a straight line be more in...

Re: How to determine acceptable Leak rate?
That's a really good point. So here's a dumb question - how do you know if you're mouth leaking?

Re: How to determine acceptable Leak rate?
Given my mask (Mirage LT) and my pressure range of 6-10, anything under 30 lpm is very good, based on the Resmed brochure. So I think that based on my leak rates, I need to tighten up the mask a little bit.

How to determine acceptable Leak rate?
I've been a (mostly) successful CPAP user for over 5 years , and one question that has always puzzled me is how do you determine an acceptable leak rate? I seem to think that it has something to do with the mask itself, but in searching the message boards I am seeing people quoting some much lower l...

Re: Septoplasty Tomorrow 3/4/10
Had my septoplasty a few years ago. Prior to the septoplasty, I would not be able to tolerate CPAP when I had even a mild cold. After full recovery from the operation (took about a month), I was amazed at how much better I could breathe. And now I tolerate CPAP well even when I have a cold! Take care!

I have lost about 35 lbs. in the last 9 months. Because I have a data machine with APAP, I can see that my max. pressure has gone down significantly (12-14 originally, now 6 to 7). Unfortunately, I do not see the OSA going away completely. So I guess that as has been said in other posts, extra weigh...

Noisy APAP
Hi all. I am currently using an M-series pro with the data card and software. The problem I have been having is there has been a high pitched whine comine either from the unit or my mask every night. It has been waking me up at night (and my wife as well). Anyone have this sort of problem? The unit ...

Whoa....
OK, OK. Jeff, are those graphs from the Encore software? If so, I can't WAIT until I get my M-Series and software. Went to see my Doc yesterday and insisted that I get a CPAP/APAP with self monitoring capabilities. She tried to talk me out of it, but I persisted (I mean, it is MY treatment, right?) ...

Whoa.... Two year later and things haven't changed! I thought that there was something strange about her dislike for APAP. I have learned recently (due to other unrelated medical conditions I have) that you cannot get the care you need in this country without advocating for yourself. I am incredibly...
