Re: humidifier cleaning

I will switch to distilled water. Should that take care of the cause or am I just doomed to this type of slimy cleaning every few months? After you've cleaned the chamber thoroughly -- you've seen a lot of good suggestions for that -- then using ONLY distilled water from now on should prevent the "...

I wash my mask (Activa) and humidifier chamber once a week. First, I wash the tupperware container I soak my stuff in the dishwasher. I then disassemble the mask completely and soak it in warm water and baby shampoo for 30 min in the tupperware container. I then rinse each part individually and let ...

I wash my humidifier chamber weekly in the dish washer and the dishwasher goes through the dry cycle. I gotta ask - who said this thing is dishwasher safe? Esp. the "Dry Cycle" - WOW. I am surprised it doesn't just melt!! Straight from the Respironics site http://mseries.respironics.com/FAQs.asp No...

Very good chance it can leak after you put it back togrther. It is a problem with the design. When you put it back together wet thje gasket with water it will let it slide a bit and go together. I wash my humidifier chamber weekly in the dish washer and the dishwasher goes through the dry cycle. On...

Difficulty assembling M series water humidifier chamber

Every time I wash my M series humidifier chamber, I have a very hard time putting it back together. Once the top and bottom have been set and the chamber has been "locked", the rubber gasket is crooked in some places. I dont fill the humidifier chamber over the gasket, so it does not leak when I pou...

Sleeping on your side to lower AHI?

I recently came across this site selling an anti snore shirt which claims to reduce snoring by making you sleep on your side. To prevent you from sleeping on your back, there are three foam inserts attached to the back of the shirt. I have been on APAP for about 6 months and have an AHI average of a...

Re: Wow.....is that what my bag is worth?

Saw this on ebay....had to repost it. I am guessing the machine comes with the bag. It does not say anything about the machine, so I would not take the chance, I wonder if this type of add would fall under the radar. Setup an auction as "CPAP accessories" and include a picture of the machine, hose ...

Alternative to CPAP wipes?

I wipe my mask daily with CPAP wipes and was wondering if there was an alternative that I could use like baby wipes? Are there any brands in particular that I should use/avoid?
