How do i change pressure setting on APAP
Hi I have been on APAP now for about 6 weeks. I have an M Series Auto Pap with A-flex. In my sleep study they only got me down to an AHI of 14 at a pressure of 12. I insisted on getting an APAP and after major fights with a couple DME's they finally did fill the prescription as my doc wrote it and t...

120 minute time requirement for sleep study
I had the same problem. Sleep tech accidently woke me up after 110 mins. instead of 120 mins. to hook me up to cpap. I found out when no DME would fill my prescription because they said my sleep study was to short for the insurance company to approve payment. I called Blue Cross ( my insurance co) a...

Northern California DME Recommendations?
Can ANYONE please recommend a good DME in Northern California? - After much wrangling i thought i finally found one - but i was wrong. They gave me a loaner machine (on a rental contract) supposedly until my machine - the new auto with a-flex - came in the next week. Well its been 2 weeks and i call...

Pur Sleep Off the Market?
Can anyone tell me if it is true the Pur Sleep was pulled off the market? If so, was it because of a safety reason? I had planned on buying one, but now i am leary. I would appreciate what ever information you can provide me on it, or alternative ways you may have found to safely use aroma therapy w...

Price Quote on A-flex
I received the following from Direct medical when requesting a quote on the new A-flex machine. Although i went with a local DME and expect the machine in another week and a half, i thought this pricing info might be of interest to anyone considering the machine. I will post my impressions of the A-...

SleepMed insists patient must pay differance in cost of APAP
Hi Rachel I am having the EXACT same problem. (A three page letter explaining why an APAP meets my needs and a CPAP does not convinced my doctor to write the letter of medical necessity for an APAP instead of a CPAP and the DME is insisting i pay the difference in the cost of machines.) Please share...

Thanks for the idea!
Hi Den Thanks for the advice - i will check with Blue Cross and see if they are willing to do this. On another note - I noticed the "hickville" comments regarding your location and the inference to the intelligence levels because of it posted earlier - I live in a "hickville" also - no elevators or ...
