sd card
I have a PR System One ReMstar 60 Series Auto machine. My Respironics SD card (2GB) has become corrupt and can no longer be used. I understand that the amount of space needed to track sleep using the Encore Basic Software is minimal. My question is this. Is there a minimum or maximum size of card th...

Re: Still using an older APAP, but should I get a new one?
I used to be able to order Philips Respironics product through our hosts to ship to Canada. I had done this previously but now I must order Resmed and Philips Respironics both from Canada. Have used Clinical Sleep for this. Even considering the free shipping from them it is still considerably more m...

Re: Identical Machines Show Vastly Different Numbers
guestagain!! Thanks for the advice! I was checking out a CPAP website that talked about "Building Your Own Water Manometer". This looks like a fairly easy thing to construct. I'm going to try to put one together and do some testing on all of my blowers and see what pressure it shows for them. ranman

Re: Identical Machines Show Vastly Different Numbers
The setup for each machine is identical. When switching one machine is simply unplugged and the second unit plugged in. The location, height and hose is the same for both and nothing changes.

Re: Identical Machines Show Vastly Different Numbers
I have not seen any events or flow limitations shown in the numbers. Machine "B" can jump the pressure up almost immediately when I start up. These machines will up the pressure based on the VS numbers just as the M-Series units do. I was thinking that maybe the "B" machine is off on the pressure se...

Identical Machines Show Vastly Different Numbers
I have two identical Tank Style Respironics REMstar Auto c/w C-flex blowers. Both machines are set in auto mode with pressure set at minimum 12cm maximum 16cm with a C-flex setting of 3. I use a Resmed Ultra Mirage Full Face mask and the stand alone F&P HC150 humidifier. I have used the machines for...

Re: Locked out of EP2
Pugsy I'm not sure exactly what happened. I understood how it was supposed to work. I installed the program then changed the password as it was about to expire. I didn't enter any patient info. I changed the time, changed the password from 90 days to 0. Then closed the program but didn't realize tha...

Locked out of EP2
I just got EP2.4 installed on a new Windows 7 64 bit laptop machine without any issues. I did however screw up the password thing and now am locked out. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I found the thread regarding the "Reset Encore Password" download that "TooGroggy" posted in March. I download...

Re: Infineeer Card Reader
I have not purchased the computer yet. I currently have an older computer running Windows XP. I am investigating to determine which of my current hardware and software programs will not be compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have the correct software needed for the install but am not sure abou...

Rescan 3.14
I am checking for a friend that is just starting with his first visit with the sleep doc tomorrow. He has done some research including checking out this forum. He is leaning towards the Resmed S9 autoset machine. Can someone advise as to will Rescan 3.14 install on a laptop running Windows 7 64 bit?...

Re: Position of Blower & Humidifier
Rested Gal thanks for the reply. I thought that possibly having the blower unit sitting with the F&P humidifier at the same level could be the problem. The integrated humidifier for the tank style Auto connects with the 6' hose outlet just below the height of the blower outlet from the machine. That...

Re: Position of Blower & Humidifier
As for the diff in pressure . You didn't say which mask you are using or if it also has an 18" hose? The hose will add more volume and affect the way your machine responds to events, esp. when used in auto. I'm using the Resmed UMFM. Just using the standard 6' hose as well as the 18" hose from the ...
