Re: CPAP's for sale
gatorglenn,
I am asking $90 for the battery. I purchased in 1.5 years ago and used it twice. On a pressure of 11cmh2o and no heater on it ran 12 hours on a test run with me breathing on it.

Re: CPAP and Oxygen
Generally it's added in at the machine with a one way valve (which goes between your hose and machine) with a nipple on it for the oxygen tubing. I haven't been around the forum much lately so not familiar with your situation, is you pap therapy optimized (ie. AHI below ~5) and your leaks minimized??

Re: RESMED s9 not working?
Where do you live? If you are in one of the northern climates with a true winter you might want to try some Vitamin D. I used to struggle in the winter months with what I thought was inadequacy in my therapy and would tinker and tinker becoming more and more frustrated. My wife finally convinced me ...

Re: OSA and the military
Yes they do get tested. I ran the sleep lab at Walter Reed for 3 years and we tested many active duty service members. Before I left I was part of the planning commitee for the new sleep lab at Bethesda, it was going to be 14 beds, we only had 8 at WR. There is a lot of sleep research being done in ...

Re: Colin Sullivan Refuses CPAP?
He didn't invent CPAP, he did invent the first Home PAP device. What's the distinction? I'm not being snippy, I'd just like to know. CPAP is a mode of ventilation which was invented long before Sullivan. There were also other CPAP machines in use before Sullivan's however atleast in some of those c...

Re: Infant cpap mask?
we do currently have philips respironics remstar plus system one, I would highly recommend against using this device on an 8 month old. How often is your infant on the CPAP?? Who determined your infant has sleep apnea?? How did they diagnose him/her, ie. formal sleep study or home apnea monitor?? W...
