Well, it turns out it IS working
So I've been on CPAP with no real feeling of relief. I'm still tired, but with the Liberty I got last week, it's getting better. Well, my Remstar M series Pro has had issues since I got it. I had to replace the smart card, reseat the reader, and a few other things. It just will start beeping in the ...

I've tried it with and without, and I honestly prefer it with C-Flex turned off. It healps with my aerophagia. My machine came with it turned off, as the DME stated "You don't have that feature prescribed" I tried it out the very next day. If you wish to turn it off on the M series, it's simple. Unp...

Want a Hybrid
I'm looking to try a Hybrid -- I'm not a smoker, but I can vinegar soak it if you are. I'd like it without the chinflap cut off.
I have a Large Quattro with everything but the DVD, and I'll even freshly tape the elbow with new clean teflon.

Well, I used it all weekend as well. I learned a few other things. First off, even if the elbow has clicked, it may not be in place. You have to play with it. Second Ayr Gel -- rub it lightly on the pillows. Putting it on your nostrils is useless. Third, no matter what you do, you're gonna have to f...

Well, I had similar problems. I first tried resolving the issue with my DME. They failed to do anything. I then called my GPs office, who referred me back to my sleep doctor. I then called my sleep doctor, and insisted on a follow up appointment. At that appointment, I got a nurse's aide (again) ins...

I also agree the Teflon tape is a necessity with the quattro. I found the seal on the quattro to be quite persnickety. It works much better if it's clean. I had to wash it almost every night, or my face oils would make the seal cloud up, and not seal correctly. I also found myself having to pull it ...

So Night 2 -- I tried Ayr gel, which only interfered in getting a seal. I wiped it clean, and sealed right up. Fell asleep right away, and stayed asleep for about 5 hours. I skipped my trazedone, as I always do Thursdays, as I have to be at work at 6:30 AM. I ran to my fiance's office to fix her com...

James, I feel for you. After reading a lot of the stuff on here, I would combine 2 of your therapies. I'd add the Grapefruit Seed Extract to the nasal pulse wash. Blow it through your sinuses. Hopefully it'll help. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital a few years ago with a problem no one could identify....

I started out on a 432. It sealed better for me with the foam insert, but I had chin leaks either way. I searched the forum for labratting tricks, and I tried out a few rolled up 4X4 gauze sponges between the nose & the forehead spike. It improved the seal, and I didn't get marks anymore. After My d...

There is one other thing I liked. If I relax my jaw, I can wiggle it under the seal, and drink water with a straw, so I don't have to unstrap the whole mask like I had to with the Quattro. I'm also a lot less dry. I'll play with the humidity settings, but I could never wake up in the Quattro without...

Liberty -- My thoughts after 1 night
So I wore my brand new Liberty to sleep last night. It took a little bit of adjusting to get the nasal prongs in my nose, but they stayed in for the night -- mostly. I had some very slight nose leaks when I woke up. The DME said I'm borderline between medium & large, so I should try both for a night...

Well, they called today. Apparently they were out of stock on the masks I requested. They even made an appointment with me for today, which worked out well, as I had rainout so bad last night I had to take off my mask & sleep without it. I now have 2, so I can swap wet for dry. So I went in at 1. I ...
