I have to ask, why not take along the humidifier? I cannot imagine you can save that much space - (my opinion only)

Re: First Business Trip with CPAP

I do not like the idea of packing the CPAP with the checked luggage, it would be difficult to protect the machine in case of rough handling by the baggage carriers. With this being said, I believe that you are limited to one carry-on item so check with your carrier to see if the Dr. script will allo...

Re: Help me learn about my report

I just switched to the APAP from an older CPAP. It seems like a found a good doc, at least one that will listen to me and wrote the script to the APAP without any hesitation. I had a re-titration night at the lab and that how we came up with 11 as a base line, previous CPAP pressure was 8. My educat...

Help understand a new APAP

Need some help in understanding my new machine. I recently updated my machine from a 6 year old Resmed CPAP to an Remstar Auto Aflex with data capability. I ordered a software reader, should arrive this week, but would like to have an idea what number(s) I am looking for. My pressure setting is set ...

Re: problem falling asleep w/ mask on

You might try wearing you mask while sitting on the couch/recliner watching TV or reading WITHOUT attempting trying to go to sleep to try to become used to wearing your mask. Also, you may need to try a different type of mask. Good luck.

Re: Equipment Ideas - I'm Updating

Thanks to all for the input. I do feel as though there are signs that a change would benefit me as it is rare that a full night of sleep is obtained with the CPAP. I can only surmise that there must be problems with me handling the higher pressure on the exhale. I will definately discuss the bipap a...

Equipment Ideas - I'm Updating

I am having a new sleep study on Monday night. My Resmed CPAP machine is about 7 years old. I am leaning towards requesting an APAP but am curious about an auto Bi-PAP. Any ideas either way?
