Teenage son has sleep apnea - have questions

My son has been exhausted for a couple of years now. So we just had sleep study done with all the wires hooked up to him overnight. The study came back as having sleep apnea (which I have also). The interesting thing is his AHI is only about .5 AHI. but his RDI (respiratory disturbance index) is 13 ...

Re: Five months in and not getting anywhere

Someone mentioned a possible thyroid problem. There is a book at http://www.amazon.com/Hypothyroidism-Type-M-D-Mark-Starr/dp/0975262408 that I would recommend you read. It is about hypothyroidism being an epidemic. I know that the symptoms that you have mentioned after 5 months are much the same as ...

Want to trade a liberty for a Swift Lite

I have a brand new large Liberty mask. It was tried on for about an hour and it just didn't work. It has not been used beyond that.

I would like to try a Mirage Swift Lt.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks,
Jon

I found out that last week as I was trying to narrow the range on my a-flex. 2 is the minimum as you found out. I was wanting to go even narrower to take advantage of a-flex (which I love) and yet almost be a cpap or straight pressure. To go straight cpap you have to give up a-flex. I was sad to fin...

So, what do you use for pantyhose, painterman? Pantyhose? I decapitated my Aura about 2 months ago - and love it. O. _________________ I use black stretchy panty hose. I sewed the two loops so I don't have to tie them. I also sewed velcro on the top forehead loop and got sticky velcro for the top ar...

Lost Data!!!!!

The only thing worse than the m series losing data is when

YOU FORGET TO PUT THE CARD IN THE MACHINE

I do this at least a couple of times a month.

Anyone else do this? or am I the only one? (there is a good chance of that

I use a-flex at #1. I did alot of testing (not overnight) and it almost seemed to "easy" to breath on a-flex 3, so I settled on aflex 1 and I have had a 1.5 average ahi on that level. I am at pressure 13. Ramp is a separate thing and I never use it. With ramp you can start at a lower pressure than y...

Re: Confused about the APAP versus CPAP and BIPAP

[quote="dsm"][quote="vdol52"]When I bought my CPAP auto with CFLEX about two years ago I was told that it was the best machine available. Now I'm wondering if I should have gotten a BIPAP or APAP. Is there a website that tells the difference in these machines. Would I have to have another sleep stud...

[quote="socknitster"]Hey, Blarg! Good to see you!

A back up isn't a bad idea. Do you have any consituencies (sp?) for power outages? I want something simple and cheap. I doubt if it exists.

How is Aus treating you?
