The F&P 432 will pass LC just fine. In fact, any mask will pass LC. The problem is you will be listening to alarms all night. Banned Umm, not according to the machine. My 431 and 432 both failed. (I really wouldn't use the 431 anyway.) Wouldn't the alarms indicate that something was not working pro...

Thanks for the info. DSM, based on what you have said I may be happier with my old Adapt than a new one. I like the fact that it is so responsive and find it quite confortable -- although occasionally its rapid response has awoke me as I was just drifting off to sleep. Usually when my mask starts to...

Enhanced Vpap Adapt SV
Hi all, I have been away from the forum for awhile. I saw on Resmed's website that they have an "enhanced" Adapt SV. I have had my Adapt since August of '07 and love it. I have tried to search fhe forum for this info but am not having much luck. Does anyone know is the "enhanced" Adapt a new machine...

Re: SV titration questions & intro
Hi Mark, Not sure if you had your titration yet, but if you did, how did it go? If you did not, hopefully you will find the following info helpful. 1. Should I expect anything different or prepare any differently for titration with the SV machine? The only previous titration I had was with a CPAP. I...

Will it download? How does my current Adapt download information? They forgot to give me the book that goes with it. Peke, You can download data from the Adapt SV with the ResScan software and a serial cable. Chances are they didn't "forget" to give you the book that goes with it, they remembered t...

Thankfully, someone on this site told me the "magic key combination" to get into the clinical menu. [quoted from above] I wish you would tell ME what the Magic trick is! How to get into the Adapt SV clinical menu. Press and hold the down arrow and the key to the right (the red one) at the same time...

There is an updated version of the Adapt coming out that will provide AHI and other useful data, but it will not be released until after the holidays. Has anyone heard if there will be a firmware upgrade to add AHI tracking capabilities to current VPAP Adapt SV machines? It is a bummer after having...

Resmed answered my email with a request for my zip code so they could put me in touch with a distributor. We will see how that goes.
Hopefully I won't need a prescription.

Adapt SV 12 Volt Adapter
Does anyone have any idea where one can purchase the 12 volt DC adapter for the Adapt SV? It is listed as VPAP Adapt SV DC Converter P/N 26928 in my user manual and DC-30 Power Converter 22005 on a brochure on the Resmed web site. I have searched for both via Google and have not come up with anyone ...

Apneas are more complicated in terms of type of response. If someone has an apnea, applying lots of pressure quickly is a no-no as that can cause further problems. ... These machines *can* respond immediately unlike Autos. As such though, they don't look for an Apnea & increase pressure they way we...

Re: Changes to Software Require FDA Approval
Hats off to dsm for his excellent description. I second that. Thanks, DSM. I would be willing to bet that by the way I feel in the morning, I am not having any significant apneas or hypopneas during the night. Tha Adapt is an incredible machine and is likely preempting apneas before they happen as ...

Just a gentle reminder from your CPAPTalk partners, that you are the one in charge of your treatment. Amen to that, for sure. If my DME had their way, I would still be on the VPAP getting suboptimal treatment. To my RT's credit, she recommended the Adapt almost from the beginning but her area manag...

Re: No AHI Data on the Adapt SV
Is AHI a meaningful measure for a device that is aimed at treating Central Sleep Apnea and Cheyne-Stokes Respiration? I would think that AHI is a meaningful measure in ANY device aimed at treating ANY apnea condition. What condition other than an apnea or hypopnea would trigger its intervention by ...
