Re: perscriptions
I'm lucky I guess, my DW was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and the first DME we chose played games for 2 1/2 weeks. She finally called them back, waited on hold for over 15 minutes and the person told her that they didn't know how to inform customers that they were closing at the end of Decemb...

Re: Sell ResMed autosense
As I read the OP they stated no pets and nonsmoking. I just read it today so the OP may have added this info?

Re: Question about CPAP/DME laws
Did you explain your reasons for it? I live in a manufactured home community and I know others have them. If you explain it is for a medical device that keeps you from stopping breathing when you sleep, they may make an exception. If not, I'll be interested to find out if you have any legal recourse.

Re: Most negative forum.
As I posted on another thread, I've been "on line" for many years and many places. The typical goodbye post has several purposes but mostly to either start a flame war or as a parting shot. Unfortunately, the person who says they're leaving usually doesn't. Here is what I do with these threads; 1. S...

Re: So what is considered the Rolls Royce of CPAP Machines
What is the "Rolls Royce" of CPAP machines? That comes down to personal preference and opinion. From reading here and other boards the ResMed AirSense 10 Auto and the Phillips Respironics Dreamstation are the top one. A few like Fisher & Paykel. It depends on the individual and how the machine works...

Re: They Tell Me I Need This Machine
Hint, I used fido net, GEnie, Prodigy, CompuServe, and dial in bb's' to name a few. I was on The Citadel. Earliest was T.I.E.S. timeshare system in 1974. Those were the days, we used to dream of 300 baud modems. We had 110 acoustic couplers you had to dial and stuff the phone handset into them. Thr...

... (but that's okay because they're not really giving or receiving the money). -Bill Bill, you really hit it out of the park with this sentence. Of the problems with healthcare here in the US, this mindset stops real reform and innovation. We have been trained to look at the cost as what we pay ou...

Re: They Tell Me I Need This Machine
What gets me is that asking for standard fonts, size and color is accepted on most discussion boards. Now adding some flare on a rare occasion is certainly acceptable, but as a standard way of communicating online, it is frowned upon. I'm new here, yet I have been online using discussion boards sinc...

Re: Any liability with selling an APAP unit
Just a thought here, how could a private individual accept a prescription? Private individuals have no authority to "dispense" anything. A license obtained from the appropriate government agencies are required to "despense" new items requiring a prescription, this would not apply to a private indiv...
