I travel weekly-worldwide and I find the 420E a great road horse; small and durable!

I have had very few problems carring it on board. It has a "medical equipment' tag and that seems to mute the resistance at the gate (so far!).

DME pricing is inflated dramaticly. Your % is likely to be the same or more than an out right purchase, and you are likely to get a bare bones unit without the features you want or need.

My topper has a thick cloth cover that helps with the heat issue; ofcourse I keep my home fairly chilly.

My private inssurance policy doesn't cover CPAP (go figure), but I feel that I still come out ahead by paying for my own therapy through CPAP.COM. Especialy when I see instances like those!

Grab that software while you can. If you search around here you will find a myriad of threads regarding the "pulling" of Respironics software for the end user. Be glad you have a source for 1.8 .

I self titrate because I don't have insurance that covers sleep lab visits. Thankfully, with the initial titration results, an auto machine, the software and a very open minded PCP; I get by with good results!
