Re: Resmed S8II or S9 - advice sought

If nothing else, the S9 is the quietest machine ever. I am not sure how it can be so quiet. Add that to your equation if noise is a factor

Since iphones are not even available yet, and will sell for $500, the veracity of this spammer is immediately in doubt. I feel like I just got the letter telling me to help the poor slob in Bulgaria who has access to millions of dollars and I can have half if I will just send them $10,000.

6 seems awfully low to me but as you know jab, I am a novice at this myself. I would sure consider upping it to 7-8 to start and would not tape yet. I have, on occasion, done a little open mouth stuff and it sounds weird. But give it more than 1 night before doing anything major.

Well its a moot point for about a week. I lost a small piece while washing it today and have ordered the $2.49 replacement part and must wait to listen to it again. I am an idjut.

Yeah, I fooled with the vent piece several times trying to make it quieter. Unsuccessful so far. Thanks.

I use the comfortgel and it is very difficult to get without leaking. I, too, have to fiddle and adjust. I am trying the Resmed Mirage Activa nasal mask as soon as it comes in. It supposedly is much more comfortable and requires less adjusting. The solution, it appears, is trying different masks unt...

Very interesting. At $170 I don't want to be the lab rat either. I wish they showed actual photos of the device rather than drawings.

You do need a card reader and its proprietary. I would think they would still have 1.6 available when you are ready and probably 1.x. I would be inclined to wait were it me. Worse comes to worse, I bet you can get a pirated copy from a friend.

Oh, hi jab.

I really am not very bothered with any posts in this thread. New users might as well find out who does what around here.
This thread has been educational from several perspectives.

snoredog, the SmartCard data download procedure, what about the procedure is stupid? 1) Remove the card from the machine. 2) Put it in the reader. 3) Start download. 4) Remove card. 5) Replace in machine. Sounds pretty sane to me. If he means that there are missing days from time to time, then yes,...

Great stuff. When I got my tank a few weeks ago, I thought I wanted an M. Fortunately my DME was out but said I could trade when they got them in. I liked the tank and mine is very quiet, cpap not xpap, and wulfman spoke highly of it so I kept it. Wish you had posted this a couple weeks ago. I thou...
