Hi Jeff I feel really bad for you because I know it can be very discouraging. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. I felt like you did when I first started CPAP. At first, I felt ike I was loaded with caffeine and could conquer the world. Then, things started going downhill and I tried ...

Thank you, thank you
You guys are GREAT! I would know nothing without you. How did you get so smart....or how did I get so dumb? Wulfman, that's exactly what I was looking for. DreamStalker, you explained it perfectly. I don't have any leak info with my mask, so I looked online and found something that says the leak ind...

How Do You Change Pressure on Resmed Autoset Spirit?
My auto is set from 4 to 12. My readings are ranging between 6 and 9.2. I'm assuming that when there are no apneas, I'm at 4. I don't like the idea of having my beginning number that low because of rebreathing. Sometimes I feel really lousy in the morning and I'm thinking that might be the reason. I...

If Mask Leaks, Why No Apneas?
I've been using the Resmed Autoset Spirit with the Resmed Ultra Mirage FF mask. Efficacy Data varies for pressure each night, but is pretty near the same for the other readings. The data for last night reads: Pressure-6.8, L/s-.30, AHI-2, AI-.3, HI- 1.7. Is that a high leak rate? And does AI of .3 m...

Thank you Moby!
Thanks for that info Moby (di). When I tried it, it displayed "good" and I had it quite tight and there were no leaks. What does it take to get an "excellent" reading?

Thank you Knightfall!
Help? Knightfall, you hit the nail on the head. Thank you so much. I was going crazy trying to figure out how to display it. I would have been up all night trying to figure it out. Now I could sleep...maybe.

Anyone know about Resmed Autoset Spirit Smart Data?
Just got the Resmed Autoset Spirit, but it seems to only display compliance and serial #. Is there a way to display the important stuff like leaks and apneas or does that have to be set up by the technician?

Hey Jim Thanks so much for all the info. I'm going to get those Polident strips today and try them. I spoke to a different DME the other day and they have an APAP with data software that they will loan me for a month. Waiting for doc to ok. I will call him again today. As usual, you have me cracking...

Hi krousseau As far as I can tell, I have no mask leaks...in fact lately, I have it very tight to make sure of it. I do have some nasal stuffiness since using CPAP that seems to go from one nostril to the other. Tonsils are absent...got those out when I was a kid. I spoke to tech support at Puritan-...

OK, Now this is a weird one....calling all experts
Last night after about 4-5 hours of sleep, I woke up with heart palpitations. Every time I started to fall back asleep, I woke up because air was coming "out" of one of my nostrils. Is it possible that I was having apneas that weren't splinting thereby causing the built up air to escape from my nose...
