Sorry about the confusing parts of my post. I wrote it and it confused me!!
The Liberty is a pillow system mask, not a nasal one.
I have never used a pillow system one, only a nasal and FF.
My brain must be a little fuzzy today! Imagine that!

ResMed Liberty Mask
After 2 masks (Mirage Activa Nasal Mask and Ultra Mirage FF Mask), I have just ordered the new Liberty nasal cushion FF mask. The Nasal mask works fine for me; but, I can't find a chin strap to work for me and I don't like taping my mouth closed, etc. The FF mask that I have has never fit and I have...

Suggestions for chinstrap
Went to my Dr. yesterday and he said that I am doing really good with therapy. He does think that I am opening my mouth during the night. So, I need to get a good chinstrap. I started out with the white one that is really large and then has 2 smaller straps to keep it in place. It was too claustroph...

Snoredog-- Thanks for all of the info. I am trying to get educated on the whole OSA thing, but there is just so much stuff out there. First of all, I don't know what a PSG is. What is that? Also, I think that my doctor is pretty good. I haven't seen him very many times. Tuesday will be my 1st visit ...

Linda-- I don't have COPD or any other health issue that would affect my oxygen levels. I know that when I had my 2 sleep studies, the Dr. said that my oxygen levels dropped pretty low, but he didn't put me on oxygen with my Bi-pap. So, I don't know if my oxygen levels are too low with therapy or no...

Jim in AL-- I do have the smart card data, but I don't know how to read that. I have looked on my machine and my leaks aren't that high. With the FF mask they were, but now with the Mirage, the reading is 3.2 on the readout on the machine. Guest-- I've thought about the 10ft hose too. Maybe the pres...

Wulfman-- Yes, I have an extremely dry mouth when I wake up. I did try the polident strips, but they were too messy. I have really thin lips and the strip hung over alot in my mouth as well as my lips. The FF mask that I have is a Ultra Mirage. I used it for a couple of weeks, but, I could never get...

Discouraged--Need some encouragement
Well, I hate to sound like a whiney hiney, but I am feeling really discouraged. I have been on therapy for almost 6 weeks now, and to be honest, I don't feel any better. I am still extremely tired and sluggish. I feel like I can't get enough sleep and it's starting to get to me. I have a couple of m...

help with keeping mouth closed
I have read about some of the things that you guys use to help your mouth stay shut while using a nasal mask. I currently have a chinstrap, but I don't know if my mouth stays shut or not. What are these Polident strips that I have read about? Also, if you tape your mouth shut, what sort of tape do y...

Dry skin
What can prevent dry skin in areas around the mask? I recently switched back to the Activa Mirage Nasal Mask because I could hardly ever get a good seal with the FF mask that I had. The nasal mask gives a good seal, but my skin tends to really dry out. I know that I'm not supposed to use lotion or m...

Feeling MUCH better
I am much better today. I didn't sleep with my mask for a couple of nights, but did fine last night. I slept really well. I was put on a Z-pac and they worked great. This is the first time that I have had this in about 15 years. I used to get it all of the time, but it hurts more the older you get!!...

I have strep throat
I woke up during the night of Sunday a.m. and had an awful headache. When I got up yesterday morning, my throat was killing me. I looked and my poor tonsils were almost completely white. YUCK!! I tried to sleep with my bipap last night, but it just hurt too much. I am on meds, so hopefully, this wil...

You need a snuggle hose
I had BAD rainout, so I ordered a snuggle hose from cpap.com. My humidifer is set at 4 and I keep my bedroom temperature at 70 or below. So far, I have not had a single night with rainout since I got the snuggle hose. It was well worth it.
Hope this helps.

Really BAD night
Well, I had a really BAD night last night. I couldn't get my FF mask to stop leaking, so at 2:00 a.m. I switched masks and went back to the ResMed Nasal one. I fell asleep FINALLY, but woke up feeling awful. UGH! The reason I switched to a FF mask was because of mouth breathing, so I think that I di...
