5000 hours on APAP
I just surpassed 5000 straight hours on my APAP. Yep, I've used it for 5000 straight hours since the day I got it with the rare exception of a power outage. Its made a world of difference to me in many ways, namely energy, mood, and memory. In fact, I will NOT sleep without my APAP unless I have no ...

Success: 2000 hours of APAP treatment...
I'm just about to hit my 2000th hour of APAP treatment, and I have to say my quality of life has improved in so many ways by this device. I am never tired until I go to bed at night now. I am happier. More energetic. Thinking better. Memory improved. Pain is less. Thank you all for the info and disc...

New adjustment to the breeze headgear
This may already be known, I just figured out that one can indeed adjust the oval shaped pad which rests on ones forehead/crown of the head. You need to peel back the adhesive padding, and you will find two phillips head screws. Unscrew and move to a better position for your head. It made a big diff...

Great AUTO PAP friendly sleep doc in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Hi All, I have a great sleep doc. His name is Gregory Neagos, MD. Pulmonologist and Sleep Doc. He is at St. Joe's Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. We had a great conversation this week about how much better he feels Auto pap units are for the majority of patients. That alone is a great endorsement. I have n...

Opinions on Hans Rudolph Digimask?
I am very interested in the Hans Rudolph E2 Digimask. It is a custom designed nasal interface. Does anybody have any experience with this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Funny you mentioned the Hose quick connect from cpap.com. I just ordered one two days ago with the same thoughts in mind. Still don't know if its the best solution. Could one use a connecter designed to allow the attachement of an oxygen tank line? [quote="Ric"]I just got in the mail today a "Hose Q...

How to best refill the Remstar Integrated Humidifier
Hi All, I have a Remstar Integrated Passover Humidifier. Every night, I disconnect the cpap hose, insert the funnel, fill the reservoir with water, remove funnel, and reattach the hose. This is a pain, and is likely putting excessive wear on my Aussie heated cpap hose. Is there a better way to refil...

Nasal Pillows Fitting Guide
Hi All, Thought I would share my nasal pillows fitting tips so far. 1. WASH THE PILLOWS EVERY DAY WITH REAL SOAP! NOT MOISTURIZING SOAP! -the pillows collect skin oils over night, and the skin oils prevent a good seal. It is ESSENTIAL that you wash them every day. Do not use soaps that have moisturi...

I think that charging you for a copy of your own report is unethical. My sleep doc. mailed me a copy of my report to my primary doc and to me at home. I didn't even have to ask him. Why is this unethical? The doctor is NOT paid to make you copies...there is no allowance from the insurance company t...

WHY use CPAP when APAP works well for you?
Hello All,
Wondering why one would use standard CPAP if one does well on APAP. Assuming one has an APAP with a good algorhythm, it seems like there are many advantages to just use APAP all the time.
Comments?
Thanks!
