HOw old is your mask?

You did not mention the mask but did indicate that you have been on CPAP for 10 months. I mention the mask life because I have found my comfort gel cushion needs replacement after about 3 months or so of use. The doctor also recommended that the headgear be replaced after six months. I usually buy t...

High Pressures and Full FAce Masks

While the full face mask should work for us mouth breathers, I recommend a good tight chinstrap and some form of a nasal mask. I am a mouth breather and a heavy snorer and the full face just did not work for me at higher pressures. My original pressure was set at 18 (the titration got up to 16, stil...

Problems but not as bad as your

My issue with this mask was the headgear. It was extremely uncomfortable on the back of my neck. I used the ultra mirage FF headgear which helped somewhat but still had issues. Somewhere there is a good mask.

Buy it and be done with it

I also had a large deductible. My insurance treated the sleep study as an office visit under the PPO so The mask and machine was on me. Long story short, my $450 machine cost me $1200 (for 4 months rental plus the upfront charge for hoses, filters, and extra humidifier chamber and at least one other...

Travel with CPAP

I have taken one trip with mine. Set aside and swabbed in Chicago, LA and Maui.

THey all knew what it was but explained that the airlines are concerned that explosives could easily be smuggled in the device.

I did meet some nice people in the CPAP line though.

Insurance DME and CPAP

Good luck with your return, I am going through the same process now although it is a few months too late. Sounds like you are on the right track. My only suggestion based on my experience - Look at your original set up and make sure you were not billed separately as part of the set-up for tubing, th...

My Bill

I look at the bill rejected from my insurance company now that I know (kind of) what they are charging for and I am disgusted. When I first received my machine I would have basically paid anything to get sleep equal to that experienced in the second half of my study (two hours of testing score of 95...

Best night ever with the Breeze

I am also bald headed and just had my best night so far with the breeze. I woke up, thought the mask had fallen off, and had to touch it to determine I still had it on. I use a CPAP.com deluxe chinstrap. I read a post and tried using it with the breeze on top of the headgear. Holds the mask very sta...

I also had problem with blowfish - great name. My Mirage FF mask was great the first time I used it but then developed leaks, I was told to tighten it as much as necessary to stop the leaks and developed the nose bridge open sore. I was given a nasal pillow to try. My main complaint with this was th...
