Wow! That worked perfectly! Thanks Linda. Now, my question is - what do the following mean? Are they good or bad? Day: Leak: 0.32 L/s AHI: 6.2 AI: 1.9 HI: 4.3 Week: Leak: 0.04 L/s AHI: 6.2 AI: 1.2 HI: 5.2 It's interesting that although it appears that last night had higher leaks, the AHI didn't chan...

Need More Information! - Data Question

I'm a bit of a data geek and would love to know how to get my hands on some numbers...for further analysis I have a ResMed S8 Elite and I notice that when I scroll through the menus on screen I get NOTHING. Ok, so maybe I get the number of hours I've used the machine, but what does that tell me?! I'...

Embarrassing moment: For the first week, I was wondering about the headgear. The straps were over my ears and the nasal pillow were pushed against my lips. This couldn't be right! I finally went to the Respironics website where I learned - the Respironics logo goes behind your head, not on your fore...

This is a new experience. One that certainly interferes with all of the other routines in your life. It forces you to deal with something scary and very foreign in a world that frankly is overwhelming in itself. It's really tough and I'm going through it right now myself. I've had my CPAP for about ...

Ioannispolo, I had the same thought when I was diagnosed! I'm 30 and of a healthy weight. It's only be a few months (and only a couple of weeks with the CPAP) but thanks to this forum, I've learned that there are no stereotypes. Although I'm frustrated that it looks like I'm going to have to deal wi...

OptiLife - Pain in the nose!

I'm new to CPAP and I'm still adjusting but one thing I'm finding really hard to deal with is with my OptiLife mask. It's giving me fairly major pain at the opening of my nostrils that won't seem to go away - even during the day. I put my mask on tonight and I don't think I'll be able to wear it. It...

That is absolutely ridiculous!!! I've been on SSRIs of some type for about 6 years now and was only diagnosed with sleep apnea a few months back. It certainly didn't help and may have made things worse since SSRIs reduce the amount of REM sleep you get. Although the SSRI may help with some of the sy...

Thanks so much for your help!
I think I'll probably stick it out with the S8. Just a matter of getting used to it
